HantsFC
Hi. Noob question… my son has an FTX comet Buggy. It’s great but the supplied USB battery charger kills the batteries (4 now). I’ve been told a decent charger like the IMAX B6 will do a better job, but it doesn’t have the right connectors, and I can’t find an adapter lead (the battery uses a 3 pin JST for the charging connection, and mini Tamiya for battery>car). Our local RC shop don’t have any JST adapters can anyone recommend a charger and adapter lead? or just recommend batteries with a more common connector other than JST? Lone-wolf
Right lets help you out of this pickle, 1st up double check the Imax will charge Li-ion batteries, if it does charge them i would consider changing out some connectors, you could put a standard 2S balance plug on the battery and swap out to Deans connectors on battery and car, also i am gonna guess the comet will take a larger 1500mah 2s Li-ion pack and this can be bought with deans and standard balance plug. Another option is make a mini tamiya to Deans adaptor may even be some on ebay but that wont solve the odd balance plug, hope this helps adaptor wire https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282995178918?hash=item41e3d3bda6:g:mnAAAOSw9NhbFafY&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0NW95GKUb8rPz0gwJqt%2Bdp3qxpuwSzQ0jGFPdc3C%2BWxwfujRukNLqnXP%2Bm%2FCI86zeRSH%2FEBNAQn6kjy0juTaPB6vGaeVSfjP5Sndp92R6vh7dKHY%2FTK8tanTq5ecquv0L0DhhUDlNWrxq7bSfPMW9HVijJ2sc3oych6uHzMF7wT%2FV%2FFogGeqRxEvbdB81Da4iti4NuClrlFvHplR3q%2BZs01Zt82%2Fpcg%2BK8%2FojIQ0iXnl9kFC8CDjgauG6VV00aTMsAaBUezHNpwOd2EpBE0gCMQ%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6au1IPZYg
