Are there any Brushless ESC/Motor Brands to avoid

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if there were any brands of Brushless ESC or ESC-motor combos which you would avoid.

Each model shop that I've viewed so far seems to sell a different variety of brands so I'm a bit confused. In most cases there's not much price difference either.

Many thanks,

Andrew

Avoid the cheap ones you find on eBay and amazon.....they are cheap for a reason  ! Having said that, I have a goolrc one in a blitzer beetle and not had any problems with it...but maybe I was lucky! If you can afford it go with the hobbywing range, can't go wrong IMO 👍

Thanks guys, some good food for thought there.

On top of the ones mentioned above, I've seen some shops selling SMD, Beast, Etronix, Castle, HPI, Corally, Sky RC, Core RC plus a few others.

I like the idea of the Razer Ten units. They seem well built and good value so I may take a punt on them.

Thanks Y,

I've read a few forum threads which mention GoolRC but they all seems to be available from China via long postage times.

They seem like good bits of kit though.
