razz Posted January 30, 2021 Author Share Posted January 30, 2021 An update , this is how she sits , I’ve plugged in my 6s pack , and 3s too , after around 10 secs it cuts out , the alarm does not go off , I can see the voltage is over 4v a cell , the green led on the max8 goes off/on in sink with the motor , I wonder if it’s the max8 now ? razz Posted January 30, 2021 Author Share Posted January 30, 2021 (edited) Another update , I believe we have SUCCESS , I have removed the XT90 connectors and replaced with EC5 connectors and bobs your uncle , no more cutting out , fingers crossed it’s that simply and I now have 2 battery’s anyone tried the ec8 connector ? razz Posted February 6, 2021 Author Share Posted February 6, 2021 Hello everyone, in absolutely biblical rain she’s had two proper test runs , and she was blooming superb , even my original battery worked perfectly . Couple of things noted , that alarm I got , it’s very intermittent ? With my ZEEE lipo it stayed silent thru the entire run until it hit 3. Something volts , never got to LVC on the speedo , that battery is reading 3.7v per cell now . Perfect . Now I plugged in the new batt and off I went , 5secs later and the alarm is going off , so unplugged it . Had a great run with good run time , was only doing flypasts and lvc came in at 3.2v ( set on low ) she’s been hosed down and dried , next up is snow tomorrow .
