Ag100
I (my little lad) has a MN 99 which has led lights that come in when the throttle is applied, it uses a combined ESC/Rx circuit board. My question is, I’m planing on replacing this esc with a cheap 20amp brushed of eBay and a cheap Dumbo Rc receiver, is there a way I can get the lights to come on with one of the radio channels (it has 6), the lights on the truck have the micro JST connector that plugs into the circuit board, which I assume also has the light controller inbuilt.. Stormbringer
you would need a light controller unit that would then plug into the channel you want to use of rx of course you you may be able to plug the leds straight into rx but they would be on all time 🍻
Ag100
I’m happy with them being on all the time, would actually look better, rather than going on off every time it moves. Would it just be a case of putting a suitable connector on to plug straight into RX? Edited October 11, 2020 by Ag100

Stormbringer
You could always take a chance on plugging original lights into new rx if they work they work if not no big loss as you have these other 1's 🍻
RCbutcher
You can make your own light controller from an old servo. The little clear blue micro servos are great for it. You just desolder the servo motor then solder on a female jst plug in its place. Plug the leds into that and the original servo plug into the rx. It can be a real pain finding the spot where it works though. Dialing the servo pot and radio ch3 trim. Its best to have a 3 position switch 3ch radio you can get half power, full power or strobe modes usually doing it.
