Grease for outdrive and transmission

Recommended Posts

Evening all. Today I started building my new kit, but had to stop immediately as I came across issues (kit error and my curiosity)

So, following the instructions it states that I need to grease the outdrives in the diff using the included grease(that was missing lol). What grease do I need for this?? Is it lithium or silicone?? Or somthing else.

2nd, the guide instructs me to assemble the transmission (metal gears) without any grease at all. Which sounds like a bad idea to me, which grease is needed for this area?? Or is it really none??

This is the 1st time I've ever assembled a car from scratch, dosent give much advise on anything and after an hour of google searches, I realise theres alot of grease out there.

I've been using multi purpose grease for my tt02 no issues granted that my diffs are plastic
