not much info on it, do you think this would fit? Worth a gamble?

thanks

Arthur

no probs mate. happy to help out, if i can.

the kit.... it might fit, but im not 100%. wouldnt want to say yes, and you waste your money.
upto you, if you want to gamble. its your money :)
you really need an exploded engine diagram, with parts list on it, to be certain.
either that, or get measurements of everything, and make sure the bolt holes line up, etc.

i noticed the block on yours, has different shaped cooling fins, so it is most likely an older version engine.
this is parts diagram, of the current version.
im not sure if the 2 engines are the same tho. they might use different parts.

Gave the car a quick clean yesterday, hoping to order the parts I need today!

getting there mate :)

i'd unwind the idle screw a turn or 2, if i were you, open pretty wide. it'll rev its nuts off, when it starts up, like that.
looks open about 3mm. id set it about 1.5.

and the throttle bar, looks quite badly bent, id pull that off, and straighten it up with a hammer, get it nice and straight, and re-mount it in the next hole across, so its got a straighter path, to the carb linkage. stick a short piece of fuel hose, between the plastic and the grub screw too, so the servo has some leeway. same on the 2 brake bars too.

those pins usually have a spring behind them so you will need that as well

What pins? I’ve checked the manual and it doesn’t look like I’m missing a spring.

So my new parts arrived today!

Pull start with spring and pin

New air filter foam

New shell

I fitted the pull start and air filter foam and although Iv only got old fuel I had a go at starting it.

The pull start worked a treat and after a few attempts it started!

The car isn’t running very well or for very long, which il put down to the bad fuel but I also imagine it needs to be tuned!

I had a play around with tuning it but I wasn’t making any progress with my knowledge and the old fuel.

Are there any good tutorials / videos on tuning a nitro engine? For basically a beginner!

Would anyone local to Wiltshire be willing to give me a hand? Happy to provide beers or cash!

Thanks again for all the help! Im happy Iv actually got it started!
