Schumach3r Posted May 6, 2007 Share Posted May 6, 2007 (edited) if you don't mind paying a bit extra on insurance, escorts are one of the best first cars around, you can get a decent one for about £700-800, parts are dirty cheap, and theres plenty in the scrap yards as they are still a very common car. I payed £580 for mine, brand new clutch recent cambelt. and pretty nippy if you get the 1.6 or 1.8 zetec rather than the CVH 1.4 thats slow as hell. had 115K on when i bought it. Its now got over 125K, Even if i gave it away now, £600 for 10K of motoring is a bargain, i'd have lost thousands if i'd have bought a new car.
