Nothing unusual in that I hear you say.... And you'd be right.... Manufacturers release models all the time... Except... After team Corally where bought out not so long ago.... Out spring these new releases.... And rumours are afoot..... That these are being produced by the same Mafucaturer of arrma... For those who know where to look... The clues are seemingly smack in the face obvious.... Shell design, colour scheme, chassis & parts design, marketing, the way the Facebook posts are laid out.... (Heck even the names are similar to models!) .... Amongst other small pointers... And they're all pointing to these new corally rc's coming out the same factory in Taiwan.... Whether or not they 'designed' in Belgium... Judge for yourself..... Python XP 6S 1/8th Scale RTR Buggy. The model is designed for heavy bashing and uses a 3mm chassis with 4-5mm shock towers, all steel drive shafts, front CVD joints, pivot-ball front suspension and 16mm Big Bore threaded aluminium shocks. The electronics mounted on the chassis include a HobbyWing 180Amp (4-6S LiPo) combined with a 2050KV 4 Pole sensorless brushless motor (capable of speeds up to over 110km/h), 20kg/cm steering servo with metal gears and 2.4GHz receiver. In vaping, there's many chinese "knock off" versions of high end tanks, usually coming out of the same factory as the high end one as well. They're usually a tenth of the price though. This comes with essentially a Max8 which is good, but i feel like they missed the plot there a little. If they would've offered this as a Typhon clone, for maybe £100 less, i'd be all over it. This will be considerably more expensive than a Typhon thanks to CNC machined chassis and shock towers (and overall decent spec from what i can tell so far). At that point you gotta ask, why? Typhons aren't that popular compared to the other trucks in the range, making it considerably more expensive won't help that. It could be machined but low grade aluminium meaning no increase in cost or in fact not machined at all and pressed but they say it's machined. It could also be cast and machine finished cheap aluminium. It wasn't that long ago a Chinese company tried to pass pot metal axles off as steel. You can get super high precision 3D scanners these days and cheap enough to own yourself. All the existing clones are probably just parts scanned in. The KMX2 for example isn't made in the same tooling etc. The parts are slightly different sizes and the plastics all have different injection moulded points.
