Gr1ff Posted May 25, 2018 Share Posted May 25, 2018 I have a maverick ion and recently the steering has been deteriorating. Last time I used it there was lots of buzzing and clicking noises but it didn’t want to steer just driving in straight lines. It almost feels like the electronics want to stop the wheels from steering and after I switch it off the resistance goes. does anyone know what could be causing this? Oh How Original Posted May 25, 2018 Share Posted May 25, 2018 Could be a stone stuck in the steering somewhere, if it starts whirring quite loudly when you steer, then it's stripped a gear, either the servo horn or inside the servo. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Oh How Original Posted June 18, 2018 Share Posted June 18, 2018 Sometimes a new servo is needed, sometimes it's a gear, if the servos are only small and not too expensive, then it's often easier to replace it and keep the old one in case you need gears or a wire/plug or a case.
