atom3624
Did you notice how much faster and more powerful the 'real Max-D' appeared? Looks great - POSSIBLY my favourite MJ truck - together with GD and Blue Thunder. Basically that power deficit is very obvious - cannot see the Axial doing a double back somersault like Tom (Meents) did!! Al.
atom3624
That said, there's now a brace of Axial MJ trucks, and they look pretty damned good!! GD Max-D BT Perhaps Batman or Superman - could be all manner of extra copyright requirements there I suppose! Al. mond
So are all those plastic spikes meant to come off that easily?
atom3624
Should be an option for screw-in metal spikes ... presumably in the option kit truck with higher power .... Just a thought, but anyone remember that video of the truck taking the kid out on the bike ... imagine if that was a Metal-spiked Max-D? !!!! Al. I don't know, but if you watch carefully some of them come off in the video and you can see them sitting around behind the car in some shots. atom3624
Unless I missed something, it didn't look like they're supposed to pop off and clip back on again .... Don't like that - reckon that needs screws on the other side and Gorilla glue to reinforce!! Al.
jea
maybe just me but this looks like something you would pay £19.99 for from toys r us for a 5yr old .

I think it looks hideous! Grave Digger looks cool, but this is bleuugh!! I also think the real Maximum Destruction looks daft. It's like the styling and concept was envisioned by a 6 year old... "Yeeaaaahh It's big and tough and crazy, and let's give it big spikes and flames and a big scary face and it'll look super scary and we'll call it "Maximum Destruction", because it will destroy to the MAX!!!" Lame. That's like naming a Hydrogen Bomb "Biggest Explosion".
Popular Post mond
It's a monster truck in the truest sense, so if cause it will look daft and have a silly name. They are the automotive equivalent of a WWE wrastler.

For me, though, it's just too tacky. I much prefer names/designs with a bit more thought and flair.
johninderby
Max D....the monster truck that taste forgot. Although having said that using the word "taste" in association with Monster Jam Is a bit dubious. It's just a completely silly ridiculous thing really but love it anyway. . atom3624
Tom Meents in Max-D has won the 'World Championships' 11 times (freestyle and racing included), and GD 7. I mention Tom rather than specifically Max-D as it always looked the same but had 'different guises'. Al.
