Hello and welcome to the official ESSEX BASHERS Thread.

 

We are a group of 15 people that meet regularly (EVERY Thursday) in a huge unused carpark opposite Halfords in Lakeside, Thurrock, Essex,   RM20 3LJ

 

Can I join?

All types of models are welcome - whether you have an RC car, truck, buggy, truggy, or bike, come along and race with us!  We're ALWAYS here every Thursday so just turn up.
We're a very friendly bunch who like to have a laugh, and would love to see the Essex Bashing 'scene' grow.  Every new person that turns up always comments at how welcoming we are to new people.  You won't find any 'cliques' here. We're open and friendly!

 

 

DETAILS OF OUR MEETS:

Our main bash meetings are weekly at 5pm, on Thursday evenings at Lakeside opposite Halfords, where you'll find all sorts of vehicles to race with from 1/14 scale all the way up to 1/5 scale petrol monsters!  Just navigate to Halfords Lakeside, RM20 3LJ.  We race in the massive unused carpark directly opposite.  Turn up at 5pm, you will hear us.

 

What do you race?

• 1/8 scale electric off-roaders like Hyper 7's and Losi 8ight's   With massive motors and mods to take them up to 70mph
• cars like the X-01
• 1/5 scale such as the Losi  5t.

Anything is welcome! We love to see all kinds of RC vehicles.

 We meet at 5pm and stay for a few hours, generally until the models are broken! 

 

 

When and Where?
You can come along to the meet by navigating to RM20 3LJ and parking up in the Halfords Car Park.    The meeting is EVERY Thursday at 5pm.  The car park is totally empty and unused and HUGE.

 

How many people / cars?
Usually we get around 10 - 15 people.  It's so much fun when you have 8 cars racing at the same time in close formation! It's awesome fun.  The car park is truly huge, easily enough to get up to 60mph.

 

There are also other meets which happen on sundays at B&Q southend with mainly electric 1/8 scales.  See our facebook page for more details.

 

Once or twice a month our group go to a huge off-road track in colchester (we spend all day saturday there) suitable for anything up to 1/8 scale.

 Please feel free to come along.  We're a very active group. We meet every single week and have been doing so for years.

yayyy finally a meet near where I live! 

 

silly question but how long are you normally there of a Thursday afternoon? Just thinking 5 would be a bit tight with work!

I am coming to London the bank holiday weekend 26/05/2016 to 01/06/2016. I would love to come bashing with Essex Bashers that weekend. I'll be bringing my HPI Savage X 4.6, HSP Boomwheel Monster Truck .28 1/8 Scale and my little Himoto Flame .18 engine 1/10 scale buggy. Please send me a PM telling me When and where.

Hey! Thanks for your interest. Usually we're there until about 7pm sometimes later..  We race until our batteries or flat or until we break them.

Hey, pls check original post for full info. we meet EVERY single thursday at 5pm.. without fail.  We have been meeting regularly for years every single thursday at 5pm so you can turn up any Thursday and we will be there.   So in answer to your question,  we're meeting there on next thursday..  lol

just to update this slightly we are at arc raceway track every other Saturday all forms of rc are welcome and the track has had a fresh overhaul and is now open, click on the link that Corey originally posted for the facebook page. also we do not meet on Thursdays anymore
