One for the model railway folk!

I don't know if this is the right section or not, but my friend Ray has spent the last year building up his model railway, he's now hoping to expand it a bit but needs something to reverse the polarity of the track, he's come across something called an Auto Reverse Module, which he knows is the thing he needs, the problem is all his gear is Bachmann and the only ones he or I can find in the UK and in stock are Hornby, these won't work.

I was just wondering if any of you chaps could help us out, it goes by two different model/part numbers it seems.

36-525 and 44912.

He's seen it on pre-order from a shop, but he's not contacted them yet about delivery times.

No huge rush but it'd be better than ordering it and getting an E-Mail in a month to say they can't get anymore.

Just wanted to check if there might be somewhere I've overlooked with regards to finding them in stock.

I've actually seen a seller on Amazon has 2, but they're over £120, which is more than double the price of anywhere else, which is a rip off.

If anyone can help, we'd both much appreciate it :)

That's unfortunately the Hornby one mate, we've found that one but several of his railway modelling chums have said it won't work with his current set up.

I'm not 100% sure of it all, but I do know he wants the Bachmann one and he said the Hornby one won't work, which is a shame because it's in stock everywhere I've looked  !

I think I need to chat with a train building, I really like the look of dioarama I think it's called.

Take a nice model car then weather it beyond junk yard specs, put some train track details around it to end up with a model of a barn find.

You can buy them on ebay for crazy ammount of money £170+ for a model car decorated lol. I'm not paying that.

But they do look really cool I would like try my hand at it on old ford's.

There's some 1/18 scale mk2 escort rally car bodies only on ebay which might be a good start. Being a shell only just make it look all mossy then some scale bricks under the shell. Ect.

It's actually something I wanted to do years ago but rally shots instead.  Building the scene of a rally stage with cars sliding ect. But the junkyard diorama look even better I think.
