Jonathan T Posted December 17, 2015 Share Posted December 17, 2015 I have purchased a DESC210rtr (13.5t brushless), and wish to buy a Lipo battery for it, however... I don't know what Amps the ESC can pull, so I don't know what capacity/"C" I need to get. from my reading on the forum, I need (battery capacity in Ah) x (C rating) to equal the Amps of the ESC. thus if esc is 80A I would need a 4000mAh (20c) or 2000mAh (40c). but if its 120A I need 4000mAh (30c) or 2000mAh (60c). Providing that the amp hour X C rating of the lipo exceeds the constant current rating of the ESC (and the motor is known to draw less current, which, on a matched set up, it will do) then the lipo will be OK.
