Pinion not lining up in holiday buggy.

Need some help please.

I have. 17t pinion which the hop up section in the holiday buggy is needed with a 540 motor. In using the Tamiya Sport Tuned RS-540 but when the screws for the motor are in the 17t holes there is a gap between the larger existing gear and the new pinion as in this picture.

What's my problem?

ye

Option Spur?

The mounting options are for 17t or 19t and neither work.

The pitch seems wrong but this pinion is 17t which is what is required so odd.

the pinion is the wrong pinion , you need to find the right pitch pinion then will probably fit .

yes,if you look at the spur gear , i take it thats the origional gear , then you would need to find the same pitch pinion so they would fit , so the pitch's would be the same and the pinion would be bigger in size , if that makes sense to you ..
