4082 1600kv leopard in mt4g3

Hello guys just bought a 1600kv for my tiger,

Did an exchange of my stock ripper which was in mint condition but was over heating on 6s with 12/50 13/50 gearing.

Trade in stock ripper plus 85$ cash,

And in return got this leopard 1600kv brand new plus a 23t mod1 pinny,

Which of course would set fire if ever used to my whole rig,

So yeah planning on some serious top speed by using 14/50 gearing with the help of couple of 6s packs.

cheers.

85$ sir,

Yeah I know it use to be fine when first bought it,

But after well over a year of use

Ripper was hitting 80 plus celcius in no time like 3 flat runs and needed to take a

Break or risking jamming the rotor and also resulting in stripping all diffs,

To be honest outside temps where I bash is 40celcius usually now adyaz,

So u do the Math what will happen to poor ripper on 13/50 or 14/50 gearing.

Cheers.

My good friendz,

The one which is posted as a link on this thread has air vents on the front which is for boats only and the car motors has closed front with no air vents on the front,

So yeah

U can't use the boat motor for cars with or without jacket mate.

Got a 4092 leopard on my 14lb Emaxx now for about a year and no vents in motor body. Stupidly geared at 58/24. Temps never over 50 degs C and pulls like a train on 4s.

Traaxsa VXL motors dont have vents either. Less places for crud to get into in my book.

Okey guys the verdict,

Took the truck out with couple of 6s packs

And 14/50 gearing,

Did some full throttle flat runs on tarmac and temps went upto 70celcius,

Which to me is quite hot so took the rest of time easy on throttle,

So to be honest after buying this motor

Realized that I m getting only 5 to 10 celcius difference,

Will be running this can on 13/50 on permanent basis which hopefully will

Keep temps under 60celcius I hope.

Nah man no way

The flipping 2s sticks just fly around even double strappedstrapped,

mt4g3 deck plays very important role for overall controlling of flex and robustness of whole rig.

It is already moded to the extent,

I think 13/50 on 6s is the answer for my need for speed out of this rig.
