Time to strip, clean and rebuild the KM Baja.

Ok so I'm home from Wales with the baja and now is the time to strip, clean and rebuild it, as although it's complete it has it's issues, i.e. failed pull start, temperamental steering servo and a few odd nuts and bolts, bits will be up for sale as I go along but not sure on prices so I will be asking advice here.

Anyhow looking forward to getting stuck in and I am aiming to have it ready by end of June ready for 7 days of pure fun/madness at Devon.

A size comparison picture next to the FTX Sidewinder.

Sorry about the quality it was taken with a kindle.

After you have cleaned components do you use anything to protect the metal and other finishes?  I've been stripping parts of my Blackout XB and would like to protect the metalwork when I can reach it - if there is something appropriate to keep them safe from oxidation etc.
