Old/retro flying controller

Didn't know whether to put this in retro, flying or what, so choose General...

This has just been pulled out of a relative's attic, been there for many years as must have belonged to a previous owner of the house.

It's come my way as the only RC nut in the family ;)

It's a multi-channelled controller; the left hand stick's vertical axis is on a rachet for throttle. There's 4 servos, the receiver and a battery pack for them, which must have been rechargeable as the batteries inside are soldered together... and have leaked somewhat. No sign of a battery compartment as such on the controller (metal, screwed together), so chances are more rechargeable batteries in unknown state inside the controller. There is a DIN connector on the bottom of the box. (And a micro switch button on the top.)

So, the obvious question... is this worth anything to a retro RCer, or is it just landfill?

ETA: ebay completed listings says it might be worth chucking on...
