hump packs given up

Hi everyone.

So I've had these HPI Plasma 6v hump packs for a couple of years but they haven't had much use. Have I ballsed them up by charging them wrong? They are 1600 mAh. When new they would go up to 1600ish clicks on the charger display, that would be a full charge. Now they only charge up to between 300-400. Then when in the car they run out after 15 minutes or so.

I only ever charge at either 1600mAh (max) but usually lower. Can I bring them back to life or should I bin them and buy new ones.

They're probably just worn out. Idk if true for rechargeable but most batteries have use by dates on them. Charging at the full 1.6a would reduce their life too. Ive just given a new one away cos i won't be using it for awhile so didnt want it sat around.

NiMh don't like being left discharged and they will often self discharge in a couple of months, so if just left for a few months they might not recover.
