Losi 8ight engine speed/revs telemetry issues

Hi, I'm having issues with my losi 8 registering revs/speed on the display of my spectrum radio gear

Engine temp works fine, and seems accurate but the revs/speed sensor on the car seems inconsistent

The sensor mounted next to the diff seems to pick up a signal when I put some metal in front of it as the needle on the display on the radio gear twitches but doesn't move when the car is moving

Wondering if its a case of purchasing a new sensor or it could be something I'm failing to do ?

I wouldn't worry, it's absolutely useless. As far as I'm aware the sensor works on light reflecting off something (usually the sticker they supply in the pack which is then stuck to the engine flywheel). It's very hit and miss as first of all you need light, but the sticker is in the darkest part of the car. The sticker can come unstuck and it also gets covered in dirt which means light can't reflect off it.

Ultimately you may want to disconnect the telemetry altogether as the temperature sensor can become a pain in the backside when you need to remove your engine quickly.
