ninjagaiden Posted August 17, 2014 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Your charger won;t work for Lipos, but the Vantage charger is a pretty good balance trickle charger. The Vantage waterproofing means gaskets on the receiver, and a sealed design for the motor. That means splash resistance and the ability to run through puddles. Making it really waterproof would need some extra modifications, like putting the receiver in a balloon and maybe some CorrosionX on the servo and motor. Edan2013 Posted August 19, 2014 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Hi I brought a new esc and hpi firebolt motor for another car (15t) it worked great until the gears stripped and the gear for the driveshaft broke. Anyway I replaced the whole gearbox including spur gear then it worked fine but the hpi firebolt has begun to get quite hot and so did the esc. But the esc was a lot hotter than the motor. the motor heating up due to the esc heating up or do I need a new motor/esc ? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
