Why not use a 16t .5 mod that is the pitch of the spur, I know 48dp is pretty close but I would be tempted to use the correct pitch

I've got a 14T Novak mod 0.5 pinion. I had real trouble getting a 48Dp to mesh.

I use the novak pinions on my m8 buggy, I have plenty of hyperion pinions as spares now too

EMB ones are 0.5 mod as well

Yep the emb ones are good for the higher teeth number, I use the 19t in my emb that seems to be probably the biggest that will fit maybe squeeze a little bit bigger in if you can get one
