shock oil

It is designed to bottom out...but not all the time.

If the ride height is too low then the shock oil will not help as much as correcting the springs first.

I agree that 50wt will be too much..maybe ok for the rear...but not appropriate really.

The spring controls the load and the damper controls the spring.....you can make the spring react slower by increasing oil weight and/or changing pistons but if the car is already sagging then you need to increase the spring rate or add some preload.

I was told to put 30wt in the fronts of mine, it also depends on whether your bashing or racing, what kind of terrain your on etc etc

 

I race at my local club and 30wt is what the other Losi drivers are using in the front shocks, some are even using 27wt, those weights are ideal for the track we use
