Tug
There are a lot of different motors, what's it for?
NuttyProfessor
550 is a 1:8 buggy/1:10 truck sized motor, the 370 motor is a micro sized motor hence the 28 (28mm diameter)
big turbo
550 and 370 is the size of the motor and at a guess the the 28 is the turn of the 370 motor. 550 will be 1/10 370 will be 1/
NuttyProfessor
Brushless motors are rated in Kv but can be measured in turns like brushed motors so the lower the Kv, more torque is produced generally, with turns, lower the number, faster the motor but less torquey. 550 and 370 is the size of the motor and at a guess the the 28 is the turn of the 370 motor. 550 will be 1/10 370 will be 1/18 28 is the diameter

NuttyProfessor
I like the look of the weenie one 2.4ghz radio gear too so no chance of crossing wavelengths
Tug
He's less likely to break the little short-course truck, but parts should be readily available for either.
dee
yeah i like the look of the sc truck but with it being 1/18th will it not be more inclinded to bounce about a lot and take more general vibration wear??(or that me just being a noob )
NuttyProfessor
1:16th scale then? Ken Block VXL rally car? Mix of buggy and car so its a good all rounder but a bit pricey. Traxxas are solid though.

The bigger one will go pretty much anywhere, but will be faster. So if you go for the bigger model, you might want to slow it down a bit. dee
you might want to slow it down a bit. the chances the only way it will be slow enough for him not to break something is if i take everything out it and leave it as a roller
