One of my favourite all time cars and it has been years since I last saw one, absolutely stunning.

And a pic of my workhorse. Mitsubishi L200.

That is very tasty Merc,is it an evo?

Another gratuitous pic of mine

It really does have two seats in the front!

Unmolested except for wheels and stage one chip (280ish)

Impossible to use as a daily, parts are too scarce and values too high for it not to be mint

No it's not an evo, it's the original 2.3 16.

The reason it looks a bit like the evo 2 is the original owner said to Mercedes that he wants to buy a Cosworth, but only if they fitted identical bumpers, skirts and spoiler as the AMG team's DTM touring cars'.

Couldn`t think of selling her, it was my dream car when they first came out

I bought her in February but blew the engine up three days later  :imstupid:

First rebuild was carried out by a guy who didn`t know as much as he thought he did

Second rebuild was carried out by a local guy who runs a YB powered Focus 4wd rally car who fortunately knew exactly what he was doing

It will be a while before it is worth more than I have paid out

Would like an RS500 though!

Funny you say that. My Merc Cossie (name is Kaira :P ) is in the hands of an engine tuner right now, getting a complete recondition and overhaul. The guy's amazing; he looks after Group B rally cars, Gineta race cars, a race-spec Lotus sunbeam, he's fitting a 5.0 v8 to a Ford Capri and all the classic car owners go to him to get their carbs tuned in etc.

Can't wait to get her back, the cylinders were scored so he's boring them out past the damage, then forging new, slightly bigger capacity pistons, new injectors, new valves, new tappets, new clutch. And rebuilding it all to correct tolerances and specs.

She's gonna be magic! :good:

Original, yes, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it a "street sleeper". Anyone, with even the most modest level of car knowledge, can identify a Sierra Cosworth, and know, to at least some degree, what they're capable of.
