G.A.A Posted March 18, 2012 Share Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) I have an e-firestorm flux which I run on NiMh. Every so often it shreds a spur gear. It's not so often as to be a real bother but it is just consistent enough to make me think there may be a problem. Are fluxs known for shredding spur gears? What are shredded spur gears most often caused by (like the motor moving? Or the mesh being too snug? Or the slipper clutch being incorrectly adjusted etc)? Additionally I am hopefully going to be upgrading to 2c LiPo soon. Are there any must have upgrades I need to get before I do this Edit: Just seen this thread, don't worry about this bit. stretch Posted March 18, 2012 Share Posted March 18, 2012 Shredded spurs are notmally due to bad meshing or slipper too tight and not due to a common problem with the FS. The best upgrade you can get for it is a set of tbone bumpers and wheelie bar, don't bother with alloy upgrades etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
