The 2.4 GHz 4-channel receiver has a built-in fail-safe and can be used with all Futaba FASST transmitters such as the 3GR/3PK/4PK. Also mine has no support for High Speed (HRS) mode. Having said that, it is massively cheaper than a Futaba Rx and works perfectly in the 1/10th electrics.
