Cortez Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Just tryed to start my savage 25 up this mroning and when it starts up the engine it constantly reving ..... when i pull the throttle it stops a bit, but still revs! dazzi220 Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 take the engine back out, see the cog in the shape of a bell? on the engine undo the screw in the middle and pull it off, inside are the clutch shoes, there will be 3 shoes wrapped around a rod or pole, they are held in play with spring type things it shud look like this but your shoes will be plastic http://img424.imageshack.us/img424/8138/sa...tchshoes9rj.jpg if yours looks like it does in the pic, replace the cb thats not the problem, but these high revvin probs usually have something to do with the clutch Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Josh Posted February 21, 2006 Share Posted February 21, 2006 The one on the slider on the carb that the throttle linkage connects too, turn it anticlockwise 1/2 a turn to be safe see if that helps, if the bottom is then to rich lean it off in 1/8 increments.
