The Turnigy 2650KV Motor is great. I ran mine on the Hobbyking 150A ESC on 3 & 4s.

It's very fast. No need for 5 or 6s. That would be way too fast.

Get some pics of Castor up when ya done.

Keep meaning to get a video up, but end up bending something before we can film!

Damn mate! Heavy landing? Do u remember where u got the kit from bud? Struggling to find one?

First Time when I bent the rear of the chassis and snaped the rear chassis brace was due to a bad landing.

This time I hit a gole post at full-ish speed

As for were I got my convertion kit:

Hmmm...never done any damage to my Lightnings chassis. Either you bash harder than you're letting on or HPI have really dropped the quality of parts since the Lightning

Try getting some of the solid aluminium braces on there and see if it helps ;) Oh, and stop crashing

I've been re-bulding my Trophy today.

Back end done, now to get parts for the front end.

I also built it a new ESC tray! I'm chuffed with it I have to say!

piccies ^_^

can't wait to continue with mine :)

mounted the battery tray properly yesterday, was a nightmare. I used the two holes furthest back, then drilled the front ones but they fell into the other holes as they were so close. opened them up in the end anc countersunk them a bit so should be all good now lol

hope the battery tray is big enough lol, what size lipo's u running mate?

Pics when she's done.

Been a bussy lad with RC buggies today. What with building my D8 & re-building the trophy.

I use a 3s or4s lipos in mine and they fin like a charm!!

Ok well I thought I'd show a couple of pics of my home built ESC tray.

Here's the top veiw.

And front veiw showung the mounts. I think they were made from some Tamiya Hot Shot gear box mounts.

The tray itself is a Trophy radio box cover!
