Hi guys i have an almost new 150A hobbywing Xerun ESC & Tekin 2150 motor my boy was using it in my losi 8ight today at our local track when the car came to stop out on the track assumed it was the battery so back to the pits change of battery 4s.

Turned the esc on the reciver lights up and the fan on the ESC comes on but there is no lights or beeps and the ESC wont power the motor.

Is the ESC fubar ???? or is there a way to fix it ???

Cheers Kevin

Yep i had a Xerun from MS not so long ago that would lose its lvc settings and run the packs to 4.0v and cut out returned it and it was replaced to then get one that wouldn't save its calibration settings and then got that replaced. This new one is fine so far so maybe there was a faulty batch floating around ?? try recalibrating it and resetting it and rebinding it you never know you may get lucky !!

Tried to rebind the speky that didnt work it runs the servo fine but still nothing from the ESC :( and when i plug in the program card in the the ESC it just comes up connecting and then does nothing else. I now have 2 xerun ESC`s that are fubar 1 powers up but no beeps and the other powers up with beeps but wont connect to the receiver due to a blown internal BEC :(

Looks like i`m going to have o buy a new ESC

Has anyone used one of these before ??

Can't you just use the one with a blown BEC and run an external BEC instead ? Got to be worth a couple of pounds to try if you not got one ?

I used that esc and hated it but others like them, me I'd never buy one again !. The LVC needs setting per pack not cell but the programme gives out per cell not pack or something like I just found it a bit of a pig to be honest

I`m still well into my infancy with electrics i wouldn't even know where to start changing a BEC over i only know that much because a friend told me lol

Would just be a case of unsolder the old BEC and putting a new one in its place ??

I have a HW 150 Amp Pro ESC that lost BEC power, that was annoying and weird because from day one I'd used an external uBEC for the aux electrics. Anyway, because I already had the uBEC connected and working, I simply reconnected the Red pin and all was well again. It's still going strong over a year later.
