Not heard much But a few people have mentioned that the ECX range are ok even I am tempted for the Ruckus, and far less money, you could just swap out for better electrics, that's what I would do

All made by Horizon, parts availability are good

But a what sort of time frame on waiting for parts ?? Is stock readily available ??  i do like the look of this but that's about it sad to say..

Like any truck thou there will be lovers and haters pluses and minuses..

Do like the look of the new ECX range thou and at that price point makes a great starter into the hobby and the beefed up drive train able to handle brushless is a nice touch   ..

Not sure why thou but this never really seemed to take off like the stampede 4x4 or the HPI bullet and that was/is a god awful truck

The ECX stuff looks good but when you can get the Helion Invictus for 159 quid and the FTX Carnage BL for 189 the ECX prices look a little high for Brushed motors. When you factor in around 50 notes for a BL combo it pushes the price up.

I'm with young jony nitro on this one^^^. might be slightly more than the carnage or the invictus time you stick a cheapo brushless system in it but it does seem and look a better bit of kit IMO

Ah, if I had the fundage I would. Well, once I've bought all the other stuff I need. Got 3 projects planned all waiting for large amounts of coin.

4-6 weeks for parts now that's not good at all  :shockingscary: I know there upgrades but that's still terrible service

Think i would have gotten some different ones

i know man thats one thing about Horizon Hobbies if they are not in stock in the UK it take for ever for them to arrive from america however Traxxas is the same and im speaking from experience when ordering out of stock items

Never had to wait that long for parts on the stampede ever! , mind you I would generally order out of stock parts from the states as they can be much quicker than back ordering in the UK

I ordered these parts through Modelsport and as there supplier was out of stock they had to order it from Horizon USA but it shouldn't take that long however as they are a new part my order i imagine wasn't priority but people that ordered these in the USA were which maybe a reason why it took so long :0

Glad it was you and not me don't think i'd have been so understanding to wait what 4-6 weeks then still not get all my order  :shockingscary: .. I just hope the rest of the parts don't take as long.. Imagine having a truck almost a year and only using it for say 6 weeks as your forever waiting on parts, frustrating is not just the word i'd use

You say there new put these parts where on the Vaterra site on launch day so its not like they didn't know folks would order them .. The truck has been with us coming up a year in October so really parts should be readily available by now..

I do like the truck but the plastics seem brittle and there seems to be a lack of parts support here in the UK.. Shame really as the 2 i have seen running both looked really fun

Hope you get the rest of your parts soon and nothing else breaks in the mean time good luck with it

i'd like a halix but parts availability is worrying, never had a problem getting traxxas parts if not available in the uk i get them from one of the ebay chop shops. I've read a few reviews mentioning the weak plastics so don't think it would be suitable for my 6 year old as hoped, would have been ideal with the AVC otherwise. I see it has weak drive shafts as well which is no biggy as can be upgraded but weak plastics overall makes it a hard sell.
