Can I convert it?

Hi all, recently been going through my old stuff n found a gv rex x roller and was wondering.. Rather than selling could I just convert it to brushed for the young lad? If so what motor mount would I need? And what Esc motor combo would be suitable,

Baring in mind it's for a 7 year old and he won't be needing to reach stupid speeds and will oly be running on fields and gravel..

Any help would be much appreciated

U could start with a hyper motor mount but I reckon u will have to drill sum holes in the chassis. .my boy gota rex x and I jus done a leccy conversion on my hyper......they r pretty much the same layout but I haven't really looked at them side by side...I look later and let u know if u want...

So is my best bet to buy something rtr from ms?

that would b the easier option. ......unless ur good with tools.....own a dremall...as it mite b straight forward conversion or it mite b a pain in the ass....also remember the rex is a old buggy so parts aren't readily available. .......so a newer rtr would b the better option. ....... Well I'm quite handy with the tools often find myself taking his toy RCs apart to put bigger motors in ect :/ lol I do enjoy a challenge but I'm after a challenge on a budget :/ might be a case of buy a FTX carnage?

But I've taken into consideration that the rex x is old it was my first nitro buggy 12 years ago aha!!

Or could I get a hyper 7 roller and put a somewhat slower motor Esc combo ? I'm familiar with the hyper 7 as owned one previously so rebuilds and maintenance would be a doddle

well u definitely wont go wrong converting a hyper to brushless. ....that's a dead cert...and a roller can b had pretty cheap. .......and it will b a damn lot stronger then the carnage.... Edited by evssv
