Eachine make a Mini F22 Raptor prop yet that I could convert to a drone using the standard X configuration drones. That should make it more straight forward and give me more drone options.
No, I would need a flight controller for that. Looks like the KISS FC V2 controller is right for the job. Not really expensive so far given both boards cost around £30 each. A receiver won't be that much either. And Tiny Whoop brushless motors. Not as straight forward as I hoped though lol
After looking around I found a 4-in-1 controller board (racerstar rs20ax4) that works in + orientation. What about gyro stabilization though for indoor flight?
I have one of those indoor F22 jets that is powered by a drone. Had it for years and I still use it! I just want to use a hobby grade transmitter for better precision control. I could swap the drone out, but the configuration of the drone is different to all other drones, as you can see in the picture. Any ideas?
There is a business in the US where you send them your plastic gears and they replicate them in a metal of your choice: https://gearsmade.com/
That's an awesome service if you can't find off the shelf metal gear replacements for your car, tank or truck, etc. Anyone know if there is such a service in the UK? I want to replace my 1/24 Vstank plastic gears with brass ones now that it has metal tracks and drive sprockets.
Interior and body coming along nicely. Made a front grill where I will install 2 halo lights. Will look nice when it's chromed. Also found a smaller supercharger for 1/8 scale.
Seen this on ebay, would make a cool large RC project. Looks 1/6 but not too sure. Would get it myself but already working on a 1/8 project.

I've been out of the crawling scene for several years, so I don't know what new rigs are unsing worm drives. A worm drive is more suited for crawling and has several advantages over standard gearing.
Yes, less prone than a top heavy rig. If you work on reducing the weight above the axles/chassis, then that's a good start. Softer tyres and softer shocks with less travel on the rear shocks, will also help reduce tipping.
