    RX gyro.

Hopefully a GT5 user comes in and says they use it all the time and it is amazing just to show it does work if you set it up properly 🤣

    RX gyro.

As this is the GT5, have a look at this guide at the gyro section https://www.quadifyrc.com/rccarreviews/flysky-fs-gt5-transmitter-review-and-setup I never really found the right spot with the gyro on my GT5 but I think it just needs more tweaking than say a Dumbo X6FG which just has a dial you turn up and down.
  3. My research consisted of reading this thread https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/arrma-granite-senton-typhon-big-rock-crew-cab-and-vorteks-shock-upgrade.42570/ and I went for what was basically the easiest if not probably most expensive option. These shocks sadly haven't helped my skills 🤣
  4. I dont go mad with jumps but it all just seems more plush. when it comes to landing and that is without me adjusting them yet Yes, I could have probably tweaked the stock ones but fancied an upgrade even if the price is a bitter pill.
  5. A day off so finally got to test the Big Rock with the Typhon shocks, and new CNHL 8000mah battery. Very impressed with both items and unsurprisingly the run time was ages!
  6. CNHL 8000MAH 3s LIPO. Will definitely build in some cool down time when I get to use this properly in the Big Rock!
  7. They look fantastic! Which body is on the PTG-2 and what manufacturer is it? Both seem to have great fit on the arches.
  8. My nephew had similar issues with his kit. I helped him get it going but I wasn't that impressed with what I saw but only have a TRX4 to compare it to which is obviously quite a bit more £££
  9. Love mine and think I now have 5 models saved to it. I think it feels nice in the hand and more premium that say a DumboRC but not sure how it stacks up to something even more premium. For me, I wanted something multi-model so that I could set things like endpoints and trim and it does that all perfectly. It might be user error but one thing I didnt like was using it with one of the gyro-enabled receivers. It just never felt right and I found the DumboRC offering far simpler and more usable with the channel 6 dial up/down.
  10. A couple of bits for the Mini T. New servo to replace the SX107 which is being odd ,and a RPM bumper.
  11. FLAPS! Of the mud variety fitted. I run without the chassis cover so hoping these might help a little bit with stopping too much getting in as well as looking good.
  12. Some bad painting! Mixture of poor masking, a slightly peeling over-spray film, impatience and putting on too much white backing which then ran and somehow mixed with the orange. Guess I didn't wait long enough before switching to the backing colour. Can't say I have enjoyed either of the bodies I have sprayed. 🤣
  13. That looks so good! My eyes arent good enough to make something that small so would echo them making this 1:12 or larger!
  14. Thanks so is that 2mm of thread visible in front of the nut? Did see that for some of the LC vehicles you would set it so that the spring was 7mm long.
  15. "No where in the manual tell you how to set the slipper up, for some this won't be an issue but could easily be for others. " You are correct 🤣 Got mine to almost a roller and wasn't sure how to set it. I was thinking putting back wheels on, holding spur and then winding nut until it stops. Then back off 1/2 a turn? Just conscious of damaging something if that isnt the right way. Did try to initially set it before the casing got installed but then it was just spinning and I didn't have enough hands to hold the spur and both output drives.
  16. Yes, feel a little robbed on how much these cost compared to the other 6S range but they feel so plush compared to stock. Did look at the alternate 6s options which fit/are close but got bored waiting for stock at Jennys. Gone for 2mm of spacers at the rear and 4mm at the front to make sure the drive shafts clear. Also had to do a minor trim at the rear of the bodyshell. Used the Axial bushings at the top of the shocks which feel perfect. Will hopefully give it a proper test at the weekend.
  17. Started on the BHC-1 build. My first attempt a kit and have so far only put together 2 x rollers and done a few repairs on my Big Rock and Slash. Did something wrong with the diff initially but was fine when I did a rebuild. Shocks went together beautifully and I am pleased that I had a few handy little tools to make things smoother. C-clip tool is a bit fiddly but still stopped them pinging off and the shock pliers were amazing. Out of interest, how does LCRacing compare to other kits in clarity/accuracy? It feels fairly good so far although a section telling me to put an o-ring on the inside of a shock collar took me a few minutes of head scratching working out where exactly I was meant to put it. Shout out to @Alex97for answering my many questions from his own build. Went with 7000 CST in the diff like you suggested and it does feel nice.
  18. Many people here got a pre-order on this? Still odd how long it is taking for these to properly appear in the UK.
  19. Another trip out with very little mud for 2 x packs. Forgot how good the Big Rock was over a terrain with small jumps.
  20. A day off so first a trip out to a spot I haven't been too since November. Used it as a bit of a test and was pleasantly surprised how little cleaning there was when I was done with it all just needing a dry brush. Hoping it stays this dry and I can get out some of the faster stuff over the weekend. Then set about swapping the shocks on the Slash for the new GTRs. Bottom hex of both rear shocks required the extraction set! They weren't rounded but looked to have been peppered over the years with debris which meant the hex wouldn't sit right, even with trying a pick tool to tidy their insides. Pleased to say I had some correctly sized spare screws.
  21. BHC-1 and some GTR shocks for the Slash from Jennys. Still a bit cheaper than just buying in the UK.
  22. Got a UPS shipment notice today yay for delivery tomorrow! Got a secondary update tonight with a weird message saying it is now stuck with a government agency grrr!? Anyone else had that from the 2nd batch of these?
  23. If you wont need to go over 4S then this is pretty good imo. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/skyrc-t100-dual-battery-lipo-balance-charger-444856
