  2. You must be the life of the party Grogg. Always so positive 🤔
  3. IT'S SOOOO SHINY AND CARBONY! You would LOVE it!
  4. You…disappointed. Im shocked! Usually they call you Mr Lucky 😜
  5. Hey Wadsy, Ok first things first. 1/10 'size' can vary wildly according to what vehicle the model is trying to imitate. 1/10 buddies are FAR smaller than 1/10 Truggies/Monster Trucks etc. For example 1/10 buggy next to a 1/10 stadium truck. The Losi DB Pro [1/10] comes in at a length of 536mm FTX DR8 [1/8] length of 540mm The Arrma Fireteam [1/7] is 615mm The Senton [1/10] above comes in the middle (as reference) at 558mm No idea if this is any help! 😄
  6. Was the Evri guy then bundled into a black van with number plate TR4 XX5?
  7. I have built a scale version of the Mclaren Technology centre in my garage. Fitted with the most expensive gear I could find. I have an auto laser tolerance gauge, CNC machine, CF autoclave, 3D printer to name a few pieces of equipment. Then I wake up and realise I'm actually scumming it up on my office desk with keyboard and screen still there. But I do have fancy tools but not RC specific as I do think you get what you pay for when it comes to tools (plus I use them not just for RC).
  8. Usually best practice is to do light coats for main colour. The paint ends up not being opaque. So a backing colour is used slightly thicker as to not let stuff shine through. Rule of thumb for backing colours is: White = Will make your flat colours brighter. Essential for fluorescent's. Black = Will darken your colours. Great behind things like gunmetal grey. Silver = Really just for metallics but you can add a little subtle sparkle to your flats. I have done it behind florescent green before and looked really cool.
  9. I really do think you should give me your Baja. It would be happy here. Well loved 🥰
  10. Welcome to the forum @A Hog 👋
  11. Never even knew about this one… The Orville - Disney Plus If you told me it came from Seth Macfarlane of Family Guy fame and it was a homage to Star Trek i would have no interest at all. I like my Star Trek. I like my Family guy. But Seth doing Star Trek! How can that work? Surprisingly well actually! Its far more Star Trek Next Generation that is less stuffy and does not take itself too seriously. But I am finding it pretty dam good. Give it a few episodes.
  12. Im going to say it as i cant resist 🤣🤣🤣 Told you so! Nice job. Enjoy the painting 👍
  13. I don't believe you can and would not recommend messing with firmware that is not for exact model. Don't want to brick it. NB4 firmware: https://www.flysky-cn.com/nb4-xiazai NB4 Pro firmware: https://www.flysky-cn.com/noble-pro-download-1-1 Run down of changes:
  14. Nope. I was quoting M4 @Alex97🤣🤣
  15. Been mega busy lately with work, family and friends so done so little to anything RC 😞 Updated the NB4 firmware today to the rather sexy looking V3.0.
  16. Flysky have released V3.0 firmware update. Greatly improved the UI and added a load of sensor options plus a ton of new stuff that I will now have to go over. Before and after below: Main Screen Menu 1 Menu 2 Menu 3
  17. Its just a really odd stance for them to make. Its a hobby industry so therefore it is one of collecting, upgrading and customising. As long as they are selling their base units then they should be happy! Joe Bloggs watches a YouTube vid of a really cool TRX4 with all these bits and pieces added with Traxxas and aftermarket parts and they want it! So Traxxas gets the sale and the little boys sell their bits and pieces. The hobby community is happy. But no. Traxxas want their cake and eat it all on their own with no one else invited to the party. They want YOU to buy their cars with their parts and options and no one elses. They are the Apple of the RC industry. Tamiya has thrived with aftermarket support with their RCs and scale models for almost half a century. Why does Traxxas have to be so greedy? Sure we are all here to make money, but by strangling your own market? The aftermarket guys are what make your product so attractive!!! What next? Motor manufacturers? Wheels and tyres? Batteries (cos no one likes your bespoke connectors! Hello Apple, again) You going to get your lawyers out on those too? They are behaving like anchors. Proper big anchors.
  18. Sadly the UK makes pretty much nothing now. We stuffed it with the aerospace industry and British Leyland murdered automotive. We offer services now. I would love a UK made RC manufacturer but the labour, parts, supply from other countries, commercial rent and utility bills wont allow it. Sure there are parts makers like Scorched RC (which im shocked have not been lynched by Traxxass) but they are few and far between. Even our beloved LHS’s which frequented most high streets are getting rare. I am in a fairly populated area of the UK. Yet my nearest LHS would be 60 miles away (Howes is closer but its NOT a LHS).
  19. Just RtR? Are you sure? Best bet would be for LHS to refuse to stock Traxxas. Yes the LHS will have to restock with other manufacturers but im pretty sure they enjoy stocking aftermarket parts to support their customers. If I was a LHS I would drop them like a stone and gain relationships with companies like Corally, Tamiya, Arrma, FTX et el
