And yet Halfords insist on calling these people ''engineers''.  I like my child was mostly educated overseas, I only attended uni in the UK as a mature student, meaning I went to uni after turning 21, and back then, to become an engineer you either had to do an apprenticeship that lasted a minimum of 4 years, or attend a university for a minimum of 4 years.  You did not become a qualified engineer after 2 weeks of on the job training, especially from within the retail sector.  I honestly don't understand how they can get away with referring to their retail staff, most of which have not attended higher education or done apprenticeships related to engineering in any way shape or form, as ''engineers''.  What's next McDonald's calling their burger flippers ''master chefs''?
