  1. Looks like a traxxas sledgehammer https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=47401 ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
  2. Big thanks to Modelsport, not only were they the cheapest but free next day delivery via DPD ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. Can't go wrong with them. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ Also anyone considering a G2 and non hobbywing sensored motor to pair with, they do not give you the converter cable from from new sensor plug to old, you have to buy separately and there's no stock in the UK for the cable, I had to buy mine from the US.
  4. I've got a Max8 G2, appreciate the issues with placement of cables but just wanted to add it's running nicely and no issues with it ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
  5. Avoid the YouTube specials, those shills are there to line their pockets through people's ignorance or lack of funds/budget. You mentioned buggy and F1 style, a used Hobao Hyper would make a great option, and you'll struggle to break one. However this is an expensive hobby that's the true reality of it, so either your budget needs to increase, you have to be savvy with buying used bits, or you settle for less. Sure it requires a bit of a hands on approach and knowledge, buying a used buggy and putting work in, but if you're able to consume the waffle these YouTubers feed you, then you're also able to consume videos on how to do a conversion and inform yourself.
  6. Guys, if you can remember, roughly how long (in hours) did it take you to build the kit?
  7. Hi all, I'm after the aforementioned ESC. I know they're not expensive brand new but I just like checking on here first...Nothing too tatty or broken please, its for daughters crawler kit. In no rush either as I'm sure my Mrs will have 404 other things to do before she gets round to building the kit.
  8. Time to make a wanted thread. ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. Is there a reason to not go brushless sensored, other than costs? I know my XR8 for example had a crawler function, and I think my BL120 does as well...Also I'm guessing these are geared really short to stop over speeding/stress to the gear boxes? I'll try not to go for 4-6S...I said try, no promises.
  10. @Yrkoonyou have a 1060 or two don't you...please let us know ๐Ÿ™‚
  11. This isn't Reddit otherwise I'd have given you an award for this post. Sometimes the most simple things go over my head, for the life of me I could not understand why someone would want auto brake when you can press the trigger, but you explained that so simply and well, to stop the vehicle rolling away on its own momentum. I'm buying a 1060 now ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks Shergar, you're my favourite race horse, BoJack Horseman is now my second favourite horse.
  12. Your inbox is full friend ๐Ÿ™‚ Wasn't asking for the Typhon btw, just wanted to talk to you.
  13. oh you're a diamond mate, yeah i'll organise with @Yrkoonwhen he wakes up from his slumber lol, really appreciate that ๐Ÿ˜„
  14. if i don't fit a micro servo will it just run in single speed? edit: guys just to be super duper crystal clear, this isn't for me to crawl with and try climb a pebble with, i've bought it as it fit the bill for something slow, something that hopefully won't self destruct oh and g-wagon styling - all it needs to do is run around in doors at home on wooden and carpet flooring, outside on pavement while we go for walks and run around grass in parks. no actual trails or whatever will be done.
  15. what is this micro servo sorcery? my mini 8 has a micro servo, can i steal that?
  16. I'm about to buy a kit for our daughter, anything to watch out for? ยฃ199 on MS and ive got spare electronics already for it...Tamiya brushed ESC, graupner purple tiger motor, 2s lipo & servo.
  17. Hobao DC1 - about to pull the trigger on one, any reason not? Use case: for our daughter, just need something that goes slow, isn't FTX and hopefully won't break into many pieces if it falls over. @Stormbringer your son mentioned something about shocks being doo doo and you upgrading them...what's the crack on this model?

i think i'll end up liking it once its built and painted all pretty!ย

  18. It's okay @.AJ.is forgiving and merciful, you'll only be banned for 6 years, it was good knowing you bud.
  19. Will try get some footage later but that new servo is bonkers! Crazy quick even on a truggy ๐Ÿฅฐ plenty of torque too!
  20. So is OP a bot or not? And is Hell Horn trolling?
  21. I did the whole try something else other than hobbywing and I too regretted it. Reds Racing 220a ESC is the biggest pile of dog doo doo ever. Can't even be bothered to explain the crappy issues, Max8 G2 for me. Anyway, Losi 8T is back up and running. - Hobbywing sensor converter cable fitted - Rear alu hubs - Some truggy wheels I bought off Lord Milliken - Ludacris Servo, also from Lord Milliken - In fact this whole buggy is kinda from Lord Milliken This comment was sponsored by Lord Milliken.
  22. K, replacement has arrived make an offer, if no interest I'll shove it on the bay of e. Keep eating pork pies ๐Ÿ™‚
  23. Wow ๐Ÿ˜ณ can't believe that's the view out your window... beautiful.
  24. I'm fixated on the view from your window bud...๐Ÿ˜ณ
  25. I got me a ludacris servo a few weeks back, it fell behind my work desk and I decided it's too much effort to find it. Then it said move beach, get out the way. And so... Also got some rear Alu hubs as I Tokyo drifted it into the pavement and broke the hub... TLR 8T 4.0 will ride again. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Ps @Ant.p is a dirty JW crawler guy now.
