  1. The order has finally been placed! I've been waiting until the RW pinions were back in stock, so that I could buy it all in one go. Well, now they are! 😁 Which is probably good news for some of you guys too, if you happen to own a Carnage & are in need of one. Hoping that i'll get my delivery by friday 🤞
  2. Ah right, maybe it will appear shortly. My channel name is 'James Sword'. Anyway please don't feel obliged to sub back or anything, my content is Non-RC related but feel free to take a look if you wish. (I've sent you a PM with the link)
  3. You're welcome mate. And yeah, I could tell for sure. I could see at 3:56 into the video it was struggling & sliding a bit but amazingly you still managed to make it up over. I've liked the video & subcribed to you on youtube as well. Can see you're trying to build an RC channel and looks like you're doing pretty well already
  4. The angles of incline that is able to climb, on slippery looking rocks too, is unreal Awesome crawler, awesome video 👍
  5. New bodyshell & wing for the 144001 It was red & white before. I think this colour scheme looks much better though
  6. Duude, she looks mean 🤘 I love the big chunky wheels too, really completes the look
  7. Awesome video dude, very cinematic 📹 They certainly do take a beating!
  8. Ah fair enough mate, my apologies. I just didn't want you to break your new toy but you're obviously clued up already & got yourself the right tool for the job 👍 Nice video too, it looks pretty capable for it's size
  9. That looks really nicely done to me mate, especially considering the tools you had to work with & the fact it was a first time effort. Excellent job 👍 I think any sort of clear coat should be fine, and will be protection enough for the paintjob underneath. Decals on first for sure
  10. Awesome! I look forward to seeing it take shape 👍
  11. Hey Michael, welcome to the forum mate 👍 What you've got there is designed for crawling. So essentially slow driving, hillclimbing & navigating over obstacles. So don't bash it too hard when you take it offroading as it may not hold up too well to any hard knocks or flips.
  12. Hello mate, welcome to the forum 👍 The Axial's are really good crawlers, i'm sure you'll enjoy it. And soon you'll be wanting something with a bit of speed, or something you can jump, so you'll be looking at buggies, truggies, monster trucks... and then the collection steadily starts building up haha.
  13. That's good to know that your car is running well on a 3s with the metal spur gear (guessing it's a steel one?). Are you running a steel pinion aswell? I'm interested to know as i'm hoping to run mine on 3s also. Could I enquire as to which battery you're using? Particularly interested in the C rating. And does your esc/motor get hot at all?
  14. Ah nice one riz, that's a very decent price, only a few pounds more than I paid for my 144001! I'll be very interested to know how it performs, if you feel like giving a quick review of it once it's in your hands. That's pretty good going the fact that you haven't needed any replacement parts yet. I've repaired mine 3 or 4 times now. What kind of setup are you running in the speed run car?
  15. Looking at it again now, yes, you do have a good point there. I was mainly focusing on the lower mah overlander & tamco lipos as they are quite well priced, but I agree some of their other batteries are fairly expensive. But please, do post any better deals that you find, or any other bargains that you might've come across recently.
  16. That's great news Tabbie. I think the Rival is a solid choice, you won't be disappointed. And I know for sure that your son will have a blast with the WL 👍 This forum is indeed a great place to get help & advice about pretty much anything RC related. Be sure to let us know how you find both RC's once you've got them both up & running
  17. Fair enough mate. You two obviously have history with each other and it's not my place to get involved so i'll stay out of it. But I think maybe it would make more sense to talk to eachother PM's rather than on a thread about a Kevin Talbot interview.
  18. Blimey doddy, did you get out the wrong side of bed this morning? i'm sure that he was just joking around & trying to have a laugh with you guys
  19. 'RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7' have uploaded a video now too. They've installed it into 1/8th scale Land Rover Defender crawler (not sure what brand it is) But it looks great & sounds even better. Seems to have plenty of go in it aswell.
  20. Personally mate, I think it looks pretty darn good! I don't think that the orange does clash too much with the body shell colour, which is stunning by the way 👌 Overall a sweet looking Hyper mate 👍 If I owned it i'd be too worried about taking it out incase that shell gets damaged 😝
  21. I imagine that the build quality is just as good as it is on the LC as well, but for almost 50% of the cost of an LC truggy from Banggood. These WL models aren't for everyone but I certainly think that they have their place in the RC world. They are well worth what you pay for them and are so easy to customize & upgrade. I was planning on ordering a brushless motor/esc combo for my 144001 soon but now that this 124019 is coming out I think i'll snap one up and use it as my 'fast cheap small RC' platform instead.
  22. Its looking great mate 👍 I really like the number plate, its a nice finishing touch 👌
  23. So the newest release from WL Toys is here. The 124019. It's basically a bigger version of the WL 144001 (a car that I own and very much enjoy) The new model is about 5cm longer than the 144001, and they are calling it a 1/12th scale. Although I personally think it is still a bit small to be considered 1/12th. It comes with the same 550 motor as found in many WL Toys RC's, comes with the same 3 in 1 esc as the 144001 & the same transmitter/receiver. But the main big difference is the length of the chassis, which should mean that it handles better at high speeds, and also allows you to fit a much bigger battery in there. Plus there's also a lot more room for upgraded parts if you're wanting to build a speed run car. I really like the look of it, especially in the purple colour scheme that they're offering. Take a look & see what you think Here's the link to pre order one on Banggood: https://www.banggood.com/Wltoys-124019-RTR-1-or-12-2_4G-4WD-60km-or-h-Metal-Chassis-RC-Car-Off-Road-Climbing-Truck-Vehicles-Models-Kids-Toys-p-1757187.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN And a video from BeyondRC:
  24. If you don't mind buying chinese made stuff then a WL Toys model is gonna be a good option for you. They're really cheap & some of them quite durable. You won't be disappointed in terms of speed either Any of these 3 will be a safe bet. And you'll probably beat all of your work colleagues as well 👍 They all come with 2s lipos and are capable of around 30mph out the box, handle well on tarmac & dirt, not too bad on short grass. I'd say the 144001 is probably overall the best. https://www.banggood.com/Wltoys-A979-with-Two-Batteries-1-or-18-2_4G-4WD-Off-Road-Truck-RC-Car-Vehicles-RTR-Model-p-1694768.html?rmmds=search&ID=6287830&cur_warehouse=CN https://www.banggood.com/Wltoys-144001-1-or-14-2_4G-4WD-High-Speed-Racing-RC-Car-Vehicle-Models-60km-or-h-Two-Battery-7_4V-2600mAh-p-1684268.html?rmmds=search&ID=528222&cur_warehouse=CN https://www.banggood.com/Wltoys-A959-Rc-Car-with-2-Batteries-Version-1-or-18-2_4G-4WD-50km-or-h-Off-Road-Truck-RTR-Toy-p-1652589.html?rmmds=search&ID=513344&cur_warehouse=CN
