  1. Sweet set up @GMballistic, just wanted to say good luck with the sale and the wedding!
  2. Love this @tomr Reminds me that pretty much all of my favourite racing cars had cigarette branding (JPS included, but Marlboro, Camel, Rothmans). Perhaps I’m just showing my age!
  3. Upgraded the hubs on my V1. She’s been neglected for too long!
  4. @Kpowell911 that dirt track looks epic! Plus I love the colour combo you both have! 👍🏽👍🏽
  5. Borrowed a Maxx from a friend for a bit. Has the wide maxx kit and metal CVDs. Otherwise stock. It’s a blast running 4S! I’ve not (yet) driven a more capable 1/10 scale car. It glides across fields effortlessly and pulls wheelies more easily than I thought it would. I agree with you guys - even with the wide maxx kit on, you get more rolls than at your local Greggs, but I reckon this would make a pretty epic basher.
  6. Needless to say, eBay alerts are pretty rubbish…
  7. Yeah, this is the one. Ah ok. Maybe he pulled out of the transaction on ebay then. FB marketplace is a pretty good shout too actually. Haven’t been on there for a while and you do get the odd deal or two. 👍🏽
  8. Yup. I’m kicking myself for not keeping an eye out for one earlier!
  9. Thanks guys - I’ve set up my eBay search notifications. A seemingly factory standard maxx just went for £313 on eBay, but would pay a little more for one that has a few upgrades. I’m wedded to the idea of keeping my cars light (weight-wise) so I guess, wide kit and upgraded CVDs? I don’t have anything running 4S either so it should fit nicely in the collection. I’ll see how far that excuse gets me with the missus…
  10. Having a serious case of FOMO because of this thread! 😂
  11. It can all add up pretty quickly!
  12. I’ve had the iMax B6 for a while and it does a decent job (one battery at a time though) -and good value for the money in my opinion!
  13. Brill, thanks for the advice! 👍
  14. Worth keeping the stock motor?
  15. Didn’t think of it this way to be honest…the Max6 is a great shout! I’m gonna get googling….😬
  16. Thanks @Kpowell911, I appreciate the advice. I’m running stock motor and ESC so it might not be such a good idea then. Especially since the ESC is known to be so fragile - guess I’ll stick to the stock wheels and tyres (if it ain’t broke…) Btw your x-maxx looks pretty epic!!
  17. Hi guys Looking to change my stock x-maxx wheels and try something different. What do you guys recommend? MX43s seem to have excellent reviews. Any other (cheaper?) suggestions? I won’t be doing any speed runs and don’t tend to bash my Xmaxx very hard. Also, do I need to make any other changes? i.e. hex hub adapters? I’m a little confused on this front tbh. Will the MX43s (or any other 24mm wheels) go straight on without these? If adaptors are required, what would you recommend on this front? Thanks!
  18. Oh wait, only on accessories/hop-ups (don’t think you’ll get it on cars)!
  19. Yes - RCMZ Should get you 5% off.
  20. Good point - defo worth keeping an eye on the pre-discount prices, but glad you still managed to get the Max8 for less than they typically go for! 👍
  21. @Chloet15% off on eBay using code : SAVE15 Hope this helps!
  22. Agreed! Good luck with whichever one you decide on and welcome to the forum - let us know how you get on!
  23. +1 on what @Nitroholic said! @Steve-O2021I’ve come across cleaner examples (of the baja) on eBay that sit somewhere between £300-400. So it could be worth holding out for a better one, but then again, sometimes you just need to scratch that RC itch… For what it’s worth, I have both and love the Rovan. I’ve become too precious about my HPI so not sure if that takes away from the whole idea of having (needing) one!
  24. Hi Chloet Hope you’re well - welcome to the forum! The discount code was from a while ago, so unfortunately won’t work anymore. I don’t currently know of any live discount codes but I’ll happily share as an when I do. Also, other forum members post discount codes from time to time so it’s worth keeping an eye on the general RC topics. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help at the present time.

    Help?

Hi Alfie Welcome to the forum! I’m not so good with nitro, but my guess would be that it’s the HSP 1/10 buggy with Team Infinity engine. All the best, and welcome back to the hobby!
