I love mine (now). I have the two-compartment Ninja. Full disclosure, we used it once at the beginning (didn’t like it) and then it sat on the counter top for about 6 months without use while we carried on frying, BUT we went back to it randomly and now use it for everything that needs frying or baking (if it fits). It is different, but you get used to it. Mine also has a ‘reheat’, ‘bake’ and other cooking functions beyond air fry so it’s pretty cool. It does take up a lot of space though!

I guess I should see if this will still make a full set! This was one of the first sets I ever bought (well, that my dad bought me!)

I love the idea of having a composite chassis, for anything RC. Weight/flexibility/cost to replace and so on, but I do wonder if it will hold up to bashing as well as the X-Maxx does, given its dimensions alongside the lower stance. Having said that, the tub is unlikely to be costly (or difficult) to swap out so perhaps it doesn’t matter! Either way, I’m waiting for Mr Talbot to give it the treatment!

@Nedla1 you probably have this covered already, but you’ll need a 3 channel TRX/RX setup (one for the kill switch!) Welcome to the forum!

Thank you both - I thought it might be more than likely that the seller doesn’t want to send the item. I just checked their feedback and it’s happened with another item they sold. The silver lining is that I don’t have to worry about explaining how I ended up with yet another RC car.

Has anyone ever sent an item via courier and the courier notifies you (the sender) that’s it’s been badly damaged in transit and that YOU have to collect it? Just a sanity check. I bought something from eBay and the seller wants to cancel and refund me. Full disclosure: it was likely much cheaper than they wanted to sell it for.

Put another way, I’d probably set aside 3-4 days to comfortably put this set together without any long sessions (although when you’re in the zone, it’s hard to walk away!). I always struggle finding the balance between ‘I need sleep now’ and ‘one more numbered bag’ 😂

If you take your time and enjoy the build, probably 8 or so hours. If you speed build, then 4-5. I'm at the much slower end! 😂

Defo worth getting it if on sale - Lego have bumped up their prices (considerably on some sets!) as of 1 September. The biggest surprise was the UCS Land Speeder going up from £170 to £210 and similar price increase for R2-D2. I imagine other themed sets have gone up too.

Decided to read up on Machine Learning/Algos, but then started seeing Baja plastic spur gears…it must be a sign that I should get back to tinkering with my RC cars instead. 😂

Good question! I’ve stuck with the Star Wars themed sets and nothing I’ve built (so far!) has been crazy difficult. Challenging (and rewarding!) yes, but nothing that would make me pull what few strands of hair I have left, out. I did manage to pick up the Lego UCS MF so I imagine that will be probably go straight to the top of the list! Not sure when I’ll find the time or space to work through 6000+ pieces…

Would love to see it on the ECTO if you have it partially set up and working? Pics pls!!

At the risk of being banished from this group… In the current climate, I couldn’t justify $1000 on the UCS Imperial shuttle, $450 on the UCS Slave I and $400 on the UCS Snowspeeder, but I really wanted to have them. So I ended up buying these three sets from China for just under £200. 🙈
