  1. My IFS kit should arrive today 😁 Just curious about the trailing arms, as I havent done anything for that side of it yet (total scale noob), what exactly will they do that the existing suspension geometary wont?
  2. He actually hired a recording booth 😄 Such a lunatic
  3. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QNPZDTW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_PRSJDX4QW1B7QXD50ZV2 Pretty sure that's it. IWISS are another Chinese brand that seem to be respectable.
  4. That's a good point. Mine isn't the M2C custom wallet killer edition, so mine is much lighter than A.J's for sure. I run TLR 90wt in my Kraton custom wallet killer edition though, and that thing with all the Ti on it weighs a tonne, so I guess somewhere between 60-80wt would make sense if we're going to use these examples as an entirely arbitrary equation 😄 ET48 2.0 - I'll be doing the same. I have an unbreakable bulldog body ready to go on there. I'm sure there will be some second hand ones popping up though, all the 1/8 racers will be selling up.
  5. Works great, although im not expert. I just use the stick oil weight I believe, which is 700CST (Which I guess is about a 60wt, depending on brand), I might go a touch thicker than that, but I wouldn't go up to 80wt, which would like ~1000cst. Are you going for the new one that looks like a dog with it's head stuck through the railings? 😄
  6. It's important to make sure you show the side profile, rather than the front with that car. 😄
  7. YOU WANT SPRINGS? I GIVE YOU GOOD PRICE? 😄
  8. For some reason I have loads of the springs still in packets... should really sell those... I never went balls to the walls on the shocks, I left the collars and cartyridge caps... but yeah I think you probably should go ti shafts looking at everything else you have done 😄
  9. Ah yeah, I already have the alloy combo ones. They can be built as either emulsion or bladder. Emulsion is BY FAR my favourite way to build them. As a side note, Tekno recently released a kit for the ET410 to convert the stock emulsion version to bladder shocks as apparently they found a way to make that work better.... impossible to keep up!
  10. Wait ... what>?! No shock oil? I think I have to service my shocks after the last bash. Bit of oil leaking out. I have the tekno emulsions so it's no big deal.
  11. I can send you a motor to test for sure. Send me a PM, but your issue sound very similar to the one I had with a Gool RC ESC, that was fixed immediately by switching to a different cheap one.
  12. It says, "Direct Powered Transponder" on the package. So I'ma go out on a limb and say it's a direct powered transponder for race timing 😄
  13. Is it, "cogging" at start up, by any chance? Sort of hesitating and not leaving smoothly? If so... it's not the motor, its the cheap ESC. Get a hobbywing, buy once, cry once (they're not actually even expensive).
  14. Yeah it should help for sure. I'd recomend using bluetak or something to hold the base down, otherwise it can tip off balance when there is any weight on one of the sides you're soldering
  15. I tried one of those things and foiund that I only needed two or 3 of the arms, the rest of them just ended up getting in the way. Did my head in so much that it ended up in the bin... gone back to just doing it all in my hands (when you're in the back of an equipment rack, this is often the only way) or with pliers and a rubber band!
  16. How much do you reckon you can get away with on the balance cable? Personally I'm with you, i'd take it apart, but if the balance cable is still intact then you can still tap into the cells to discharge them.
  17. You can use a car headlamp bulb, connected to the battery terminal and leave it until the light goes off. That should do the job.
  18. New Tekno ET48 2.0 has to be the UGLIEST RC I have ever seen.... but I love it 😄

Did they copy a WL toys design? Though I'm sure it's most likely the other way round...

@Bert_w164I think it's safe to say that Tekno is not copying WLToys.

      200% Agree!!

      ....But I've already pre-ordered one.   😭

  19. I don't know what it is about this "brand", but everything I have had from them has been surprisingly good. When the normal market places are littered with utter tripe that all comes out the same factory with a different name, the "preciva" stuff seems to be pretty good despite looking the same as all the rest of them. I have that exact crimper and it works just as well as my other ones that are Japanese made, and much more expensive.
  20. I'm the complete opposite... total hoarder, surrounded by junk I don't use 😄
  21. Are you going to take this one outside? 😝
  22. What is it that causes you to sell? The size?
  23. If anyone want's bodyposts made from TPU then give me a shout. They will be a lot more floppy, but much more durable.
  24. Yeah I think you're right, although part of me still thinks that TBR use that system because it requires minimal modification or custom work from one car model to the next. They probably have the models set up in such a way that they just make a measurement or two, punch it into the CAD system, and it gives them a template that they can cut and form. The way the stock bumper is actually braced looks like it has a lot more meat behind it, but of course you can't really just "form" a part to replace it. Not having a dig at TBR btw, just taking a guess at how they work. But anyway.... I have 2 more ideas.
  25. Im starting to think that there is a design flaw that isnt going to be fixed by a bit of TPU
