  1. Got a few new bits for the Range Rover fitted today. Limb risers, new scale look steering link and roof rack goodies. All from Injora, not bad quality and postage was quick considering. Need to get it muddy again now!
  2. I've used the MFC01 and it is a really nice bit of kit. I can't comment on the GT Power. Tamiya one is nicely labelled, wiring is all really nice lengths and it's pretty easy to install.
  3. Looking good, these are really nice looking kits for the money. Thank you for all the detail and review πŸ‘
  4. An old school trick used back in the day is to wrap black insulation tape around standard tyres if you have rubber ones already. Work's pretty well if you're just messing around πŸ‘
  5. Pajero is a good idea but it looks too big compared to everything else sadly
  6. Hi all, after some advice on Tamiya Pearl Clear PS58. I am painting a shell PS6 yellow, but wanted it to have a bit of sparkle in it, would pearl clear achieve that? Anyone used it before. Here's what I am replicating, I don't want the sparkle too strong, I just think PS6 alone is a bit boring. I've sprayed a lot of shells before so fine with the techniques, just haven't used PS58 and there aren't a lot of pics using it out there.
  7. @tomr that looks great nice work! I like the new arches and snorkel. I ended up buying a second set of the bumper parts while I could so I could have one cut down and the original one too
  8. Managed to get my inner fenders on today at work. I think they make the whole chassis look a bit more high end and it's nice to have some sort of splash guard. They fit the Range Rover if you cut to the shortest of the two lengths and you have to cut a little bit out the front if you have lights fitted.
  9. I'm very surprised the Group C is coming back. Nice to see a new Scania and Bronco looks great
  10. Nice to see something different but it really needs bumpers!
  11. I’m working on the inner fender kit for my Range Rover at the moment in case anyone is interested in getting them. Will post more pics when finished πŸ™‚
  12. I have the alloy kit shocks on mine and they are very good if built well. Lovely and smooth πŸ‘
  13. It was just a generic set of four skids for an Axial. Front, centre and both axle ones. Axle ones don't fit. I think it was around Β£15 for the lot. I used Sakura D4 steering rack extenders to fit the front one to the chassis.
  14. I managed to fit a front and centre skid plate for an Axial SCX10.2 I believe. Had to bend them a bit and use some extensions on the front but came out okay, hopefully the pic works…
  15. Glad everyone was okay, this is a bit of an eye opener and well worth sharing thank you.
  16. Here's my Range Rover (kit version) and my Dad's RTR F150. I think the kit version shocks are much better performing, and adding weight definitely helped mine. I really like the Rangey, seems very capable. These pics were from an open day at one of our local shops, MWM Warbirds in Chatham Kent.
  17. Qanum Vandal for me, a copy of a FTX Vantage, but even more brittle!
  18. I have the Carisma Range Rover which is think is pretty similar to the Coyote. It's really quite capable and still looks realistic in my opinion. Great truck, used it for hours and hours and no issues at all. Mine is the kit version so has the upgraded shocks and my own electrics in though. Might be worth a look?
  19. The copies are indeed copies, usually come with loads of alloy and carbon looking parts. They generally don't have the same quality of screws and don't fit together as well. But, if you are just wanting something to have fun with, I am sure it will be perfectly okay. Maybe just check it all over and give it a good lube up πŸ™‚ I have a couple of RWD D4s, for indoor club/comp use they need a fair bit of upgrading and tuning but I do quite like the chassis.
  20. To be fair the kit D4 shocks are okay, I used them for years on mine, but I now run TR56 or alloy D4 upgrade shocks on all my drift chassis, gives much more responsiveness in my opinion πŸ‘
  21. Not sure if it helps but I have used 3racing alloy Sakura upgrade shocks in the past and find them pretty good, also MST TR56 shocks are very good. The MST shocks don't fit with ball joints if I remember correctly but I am sure you'll find a way to get them on (I might have remembered wrong) The building of them makes the difference, take your time and don't overfill for the perfect balance of rebound and softness
  22. Possibly the best looking Tamiya buggy made, excited to see this new Wild One version. Hope it's not too over-priced
  23. Would you possibly sell the sponsor panels and exhausts separately?
  24. Looks good, possibly Chevy C10 based? Nice to see a dropped rear bed not a smooth panel and a sticker!
