  1. The primal ramanator 5th scale monster truck. Its stupid. Far to big. Far to expensive. And to heavy for me to do anything with. But my god I want one. I'd convert to 15s brushless.
  2. Thanks. The lights had both broken at the clamp they come with so useless on there own. Fixed the one with had come apart. Spent a good hour cutting out a tiny bit of bloody plastic to fit them in. Almost glued my fingers to it when it slipped lol. But I think it worked out OK.
  3. Lights sorted now. Made a grill with a set of rc4wd baja lights in it. Not the most good looking but nice and bright
  4. Take it apart and see what parts are fitted. Then you can search for them and see if it's capable of doing it. It might have a speed and voltage limit set. So it can't go over its current speed no matter what you do. A lot of stuff like this has it Simple to sort it. Replace electric unit with a upgraded one off ebay for a little money. Wire it in and sorted. Something like a 24v esc from a scooter or powered skateboard
  5. Managed to lose one of the capra headlights so made something up with a set if rc4wd baja lights. And bad to resolder one. That was a tiny little bugger to fix.
  6. It's just the design. I can get a mate to print me some. Will pm you dude thanks
  7. Not sure where to put this. I'm wondering if anyone on here can design something for me. Simple item. 18mm x64mm tube. To go in a set of wheels to make it beadlock. Thats about it. Thanks guys. Pm me it you want to. Can chat about them a bit more in depth then.
  8. Got a few lovely parts today. Chassis and wheels I designed and with the help of @Candymangot them sorted. Took a while to sort it all. But I'm very happy with the outcome. Next job is to finish sorting chassis and get it on the rocks
  9. Sort of looks blue from any distance. At least now it does
  10. My little one loves pink. It's his favourite colour. So I made sure he didn't see them before I sprayed them. Or I'd been stuck with them for ever.
  11. So then. I had Dan's (OHO) old capra and unfortunately sold it to fund bills and life. And wanted one again for a while. So after a few deals I had the money to sort one. So after a chat with @stimpywe set a price and it was my new car. Chassis and parts and a lovely set of dlux shocks he ordered for me arrived the other day. I won't mention the fact he forgot the rebuild kits for the shocks lol. I had ordered a set of capra axles for another project so they become the axles for this build. A nice Friday off work and a few hours building time and the basic capra is sorted. It took a ton of messing to get the links right to extend the wb by about 20 mm. Shocks have bad the pen spring mod done to them now to drop the chassis a few extra mm. Stimpy had ordered a flat skid for this. And modded the gearbox to lower it as much as possible I have now modded it slightly so the drive shafts don't hit anything. I also painted the panels as I really don't do pink. Some carbon wheels work well on this. So they can stay for now. Next jobs are to sort a scale engine for the back. Paint the interior. And sort some nicer links. As its a bit of a mixed set at the moment
  12. Thinking about added a scale engine to the capra. Any one got anything that might do the job. Can't spend to much on one. But it's worth a try. Thanks guys
  13. Brilliant shop to use. Always happy to help and normally fast to respond to you. Used god knows how many times and will happily use again.
  14. Very Lucy man. I think I'm in a dead rc area. Very few people around me are into rc cars.
  15. Its such a shame that the old school hobby shop doesn't really exist anymore. For most of us anyway. I have a small shop in Gloucester that's OK Friendly staff. Small range if low to mid level stuff. Same. The shop in Cheltenham is generally a no go. Crap shop run by idiots when it comes to cars. Both myself and my dad did some work there years ago. It's gone down hill for years and years. Now I wouldn't even step foot inside it. We had one years go in evesham going back 20 years now. Was a brilliant little shop. Long gone now I believe I remember spending hours in model shops with my dad years ago. Looking at all the stuff and chatting to the guys working there about all the cars they had. And what to get. My little one is about old enough now to want his own car. And I'd love to take him to a hobby shop and let him look around and pick something just like I did at his age. But it just doesn't work any more that way. But that's life I guess. Off to modelsport it is when he wants something
  16. I'd email them and ask for a refund in the items. Then put a email notification for the items and see if they ever do. I forgot about stuff on backorder before and we'll over a year later remembered about them and got a refund
  17. And you can add extra rx to each car and run one tx for them all. Much easier then one for each car.
  18. I'd just get a flysky gt3 set up. Miles better and cheap as chips.
  19. That's a shame dude. One thing I always did with my dad was visit the lhs and have a look about and get something new to play with. But that's like 30 plus years ago now. So it's changed a bit since then lol
  20. In town and decided to pick up a few bits. I try and get basic stuff from them as and when I can. Always good for a chat and to see what stuff they have in at the time. For me just a few bits for the capra. Paint and tape for body. Esc tape. And a cheap servo for now. And now a pint. Shush ha
  21. 1st thing is change. Put a twin xt90 plug on instead of the single plug. Apart from that. It looks good to go and bash
  22. Well the postman droped a rather large box from @stimpywhen I was at work. Got home and promptly opened it up. Full of lovely shinny parts and a chassis for me to mess with. So tonights job is put it all together again. And have a fee drinks. Why not.
