  1. Looks a good job, smart buggy.
  2. Mine arrived this morning @Nick ๐Ÿ‘
  3. Lad was using his EMB yesterday and there was a "ripping" or "grinding" noise at times when accelerating. Is this likely to be the motor pinion on the spur. I think the spur is plastic?ย

Could be the Spur, first thing to check. Make sure the motor has not moved as this will strip the spur. If not it is more than likely the bevel gears for the rear diff.

Logically has to be something driveline. For me it sounds like a diff, same symptoms from when my savage used to eat them

Just thought I'd ask before I start to strip down.ย

The front and rear diffs (4WD) looked ok last time I cleaned it all a few weeks back, but didn't check/remove the pinion or spur gear.

  4. It's all good ๐Ÿ‘Œ Thought sod it - so I've done a crash course in soldering and repaired not one but two of the cars. Exact same problem on the other. We've all just come in from a bashing session ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  5. I'l lhave a Google - do they come pre configured with motor bullets?
  6. My lads ESC on his MT is goosed - all the battery wiring has broken away after my other lad dropped something on it ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I don't think (with my extremely poor soldering skills) that it's repairable. What VFM / reasonably priced brushless ESC would be suitable?

During lockdown and whilst working from home, I thought I'd give my custom Ayrton Senna mini figure a proper car to drive: Of course, it's the McLaren MP4-4.
  8. I have little patience when it comes to these things and just want to get it done so I'd end up messing it up ๐Ÿ˜‚ Maybe so..............
  9. I read through this one a few times whilst I was thinking about it - think it was this that put me off LOL https://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/88505-58661-buggyra-fat-fox-tt01e-truck-build/
  10. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Just ordered a set of blue for the LCs in the house!
  11. Nearly bought myself a Fat Fox but the body construction and painting put me off ๐Ÿ˜‚
  12. Lad's "Muggy" out the way, it's time to start on my SCT. Got some house jobs to get out the way first tho!

  13. All done ๐Ÿ˜ Lad doesn't like truggy so he's called it a "Muggy" (Mini Monster Buggy) ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. Had a crack with both shock tower mounts and velcro on the side guards - very secure ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  15. Have to agree and I work in the logistics industry!
  16. Cheers. On the front body posts what have you done? Leave short ones on the suspension mount? Haven't got that far yet but be useful to know. Secondary colour going on today.
  17. Starting on the lad's Kaboom shell:
  18. (Eventually) 3 cans of paint and some masking tape. Orange, Gun Metal Grey and Black - ready in part to do the lad's Kaboom shell.
  19. Still waiting on my ModelSport delivery via UPSย โ˜น๏ธ

We have sent a couple of packages to Germany recently by UPS standard service. Delivered within 48 hours - and they were the cheapest.

  20. Looks a pretty good copy IMO Is that a 540 can in it as well? Think it's marketed as XK models?
  21. It's not MS fault but why do companies insist on using UPS - they are a truly awful carrier! Tracking showing as being delayed due to "severve weather".
  22. Phat Bodies Kaboom shell for one of my lads EMB. Just waiting on the paint now from MS
