air rifles are safe enough provided they are used with thought. try and stay high up so the pellet goes straight into the ground. never fire towards houses etc... plus they are fairly quiet so nothing for the neighbours to worry about. fire out the bedroom window....
As above ^^^
The 4runner was known as the hilux surf here. Both US and UK versions were independent front and solid axle rear vehicles. Seems the wrong vehicle to pick for a scale truck
Edit
A friend of mine had a surf which had been fully 'monster'd'. Jacked right up with a solid front axle. He never would tell anyone what it cost to build though....
So... Minor update. She sports a quicrun 1080 now. I have to say I'm very happy with it! SOOOOOOO SMOOOOOTH!!! throttle finger is like butter with this esc. nice and programmable too. She looks very scale when driving now.
Also sports some numberplates and some extra chequerplate on the roofrack. And a storage box up there too for stuff...
Getting very lazy with pictures atm....
The new traxxas isnt the same scale as this. Nothing integy make will fit it....The RC4WD and RCBITZ versions are exactly the same as the d90 body you can buy on ebay for 30 quid. (i know as I have both). And as such are vastly overpriced. The only thing you get extra with the "gelande" body is that you get some nice scale stickers...
This body seems more inline with the team raffee stuff except the interior has way more detail. The rear end of the truck as a load more detail too. I'd hazard a guess at around 60 quid to your door. Maybe a bit more
I used to use Plastikote but the cans now have this terrible locking trigger which i hate so moved to the Halfrauds stuff. Might give the Tamiya stuff a whirl on the next body I spray though,,,,
I've had about the same happen with a floureon lipo. It was fine for about 3 months then took the combo out with it when it did go. No warning, it charged fine, balanced fine, and poof! Magic Smoke...
Many amass xt60's. Also much heat shrink also the amass connectors dont need it.
On sunday I went and collected a new soldering iron from screwfix. Rothenburger micro gas iron. OMG its HOT!!!
again no piccys....
Took the D90 to a dryed up river bed near my house. Its a nice long rocky section with a few old weirs to crawl up and down. Also found a BMX I may go back and collect later...
Also made a roof rack deck out of some of the leftover scale chequer plate from the build. Sprayed it black as I thought it would be to reflective to look scale
STOP THE PRESS!!!
I NEED THIS!!!! ASAP!!!!
