  1. Went with the Levant body on the end. Prepainted and stickered from Tamico. Wheels... from the GF01 in black. Tyres NDF01 Tamiya tyres 74/47mm. Bloody huge. And picked up a rather rare TB01/TG10 alloy steering set. For anyone interested. Tamico have these on offer this week. RTR with full tamiya electrics 99.99€ plus postage.
  2. Woohoo. Tagged in a post, I feel so popular. Lol Tamico have the Levant on offer at the moment for 99.99€ plus 13.49€ shipping. It’s worth that all day long. That’s a fully brushless prebuilt Tamiya. My Levant is nearly finished. I’m a self proclaimed guru of the TB01 chassis if anything needs answering about that, I’m there!
  3. I know, little gutted I’ve got mine, coz I well would have bought one!
  4. Well to update again. She is a shelfer for the moment. All the electrics have been removed for my Levant, as I cant afford new for it, and I the the Levant will take more punishment than the Neo Scorcher and have better ground clearance
  5. I dread to think how much money i spent on my TT02B just because i wanted the pink body and wheels but ive pretty much finished with MS Spec. I had a Hyper 10TT which cost half the price which was better, faster and took one hell of a bashing.
  6. Ill throw these into the ring please https://store.rc4wd.com/540-Crawler-Brushed-Motor-55T_p_823.html To slow down the lads Madbull. And a big thanks! Even if i dont win. Still a brilliant thing to do.
  7. Next time ya take screws out, replace them with some decent stainless ones, and not soft metal rubbish
  8. I wouldn’t be putting anywhere near a rally course though, defo more on road touring car and drifter than rally.
  9. Watch out for the plastic drive shafts twisting from the diff to the wheels, that’s the biggest issue I discovered after selling my electric converted T-Maxx to another member, I was totally unaware of the damaged being caused to them, (if I was, I wouldn’t have sold it) I miss my T-Max some days. I was only running on 2s, but I did the single speed conversion.
  10. Wow, this has made for a very interesting topic of discussion, which I didn’t think it would do, but I’m glad I’ve thrown that question out there. MY conclusion after reading and thinking about it, technically it’s not THE original, but it’s MY original with some new parts and hop ups. :-)
  11. Regardless of scale, still the same issue. Id replace with land rover parts unless an upgrade was a better option and then id class it as the original one with upgraded parts.
  12. Decided today was a good day to steal some Madbull rear wheels off my kids Madbulls and take this out for its 1st run. With 40mm clearance at the lowest point it handled very well indeed. Only issue is Madbull tyres provide next to no grip on wet gravel. Next up decided to fit a set of buggy wheels with super gripper tyre but i only ran it around the living room that gave about 25mm clearance at the lowest point. Then just for the laugh i fitted a set of touring car wheels and tyres. About 12mm clearance. Super low. Abd brilliant handling around the living room. Pics to follow!
  13. I’m very happy to see that this has caused much in-depth discussion!
  14. Its defo got alot of spirit in it :-)
  15. Here is your chance Mr XVP. Lol
  16. The original car / model stop being the original? Ive owned my Tamiya TB01 since 2001. But replaced the main chassis (twice), wheels, hexes, dog bones, suspension mounts, shocks, shock towers, differentials, motors, prop shafts, upper decks, steering linkages, servos and Rx. The only thing that has never been changed are the front and rear diff casings. But when asked... ive owned my TB01 since 2001 despite it being rebuilt several times. I still say its my original one. So when does it stop being the original one ? And is anyone else in the same boat?

    GT85?

Got a can of GT85 after it was recommended over WD40. Was great advice.
  18. Love my Tamiyas, I enjoy building them and upgrading them, and looking at them and occasionally running them. Lol
