  1. I have a DBX VE 2.0 albeit the older one with the blue shocks but is the exact same......i used to run mine stock on 3s all day long and is fun car. Its very nearly the same size as a regular 1/8th buggy but is a bit daintier so is much lighter. I have since added some mods and am now running a HPI 1965kv motor and 80 amp ESC on 4s and is ballistic, but because of this it wears bevel and crown gears out quite quickly...you can upgrade the crown and bevel gears to steel but would cost about £70 to do front and rear lol. Oh and the dog bones used are terrible but again can be upgraded.
  2. Will be fine, i have a photon 60amp 2.0 ESC and 3300kv 2.0 motor.....i then swapped out the motor for a 4300kv 2.1 motor and all works fine...no cogging and thats with a higher kv motor.
  3. I went for my usual browse today and noticed they only had 10 1/8th electric cars showing.......usually there are close to 50!
  4. That's the same as me, all my 1/8ths are usually ran on 4s with higher gearing and my 1/10ths run 2s with higher kv motors. That said though, i am going to invest on a 5s or perhaps 6s for my Arrma Talion......it really needs more power lol.
  5. Buy a Tamiya kit....loads to choose from lol.

    Traxxas Patents

Hobbico have until the 26th of this month to find a buyer to the tune of about $38 million, if not it will be be broken up and sold to the highest bidders......apparently. How accurate this info is i'm not sure.
  7. I've got RW racing pinions in all my RC's and i've never chewed one of them.........really strong.
  8. Get yourself a Robinson racing pinion from modelsport.......they're the one's you want.
  9. What about fluorine sealed bearings.......they spin forever lol.
  10. Should be perfect KV for the gearing on the Berserker, i'm interested to find out how the Berserker performs and how durable it is.
  11. Didn't matter whether i changed from F to G, i rebinded it...everything i could think of with that TX/RX....nothing worked.......rubbish. This was the KT200??..i think.. Shame as it was a really nice TX to hold and use.

    Traxxas E Revo 2.0

They will never have part support like Traxxas, no one except Tamiya does.......I heard it's more about finding a distributor but i'm not sure. I've only ever broken a wheel and bent a shock shaft on my Talion v1, i bought a set of Badlands which i was going to do anyway and sourced the shock shaft from modelsport who always have a few parts in stock. Also RPM, GPM, Hot Racing, GKA, T Bone, Voltage hobbies and others provide quite a range of upgrades. You may have to order from overseas but there are always parts.

    Traxxas E Revo 2.0

They don't want to be Traxxas, well not just now anyway.....they make quality products and actually listen to their customer feedback to make their products even better. As for cloning, they did rip off the badlands and the Typhon,Talion, Kraton, Senton and Outcast are based on the Team Durango DEX8 or DEX8T....which is no bad thing.....i think the Nero is a lovely piece of engineering though, and all their own despite what Traxxas might say lol.
  14. This was talked about in another thread, the Kyosho syncro stuff is quite well known to do this. My brand new Kyosho DBX had these problems no matter where i took it. I would bite the bullet and spend just a small bit of cash and get yourself a cheap TX and RX..
  15. If your worried about part support i wouldn't get something from Hobbyking.
  16. Yeah, The Kraton, Typhon and Talion all pretty much came out at the same time a few years ago. They are now all each on there third incarnation.....the 2018 spec.
  17. Nice!....Must of been a hard hit to do that lol.
  18. If you want speed with some offroad ability go for the Typhon, If you want to jump and flip like a madman go for the Outcast or if you want a mixture with some decent offroad skills go for the Kraton. If i was to buy another Arrma it would be a Kraton..
  19. Either will be good, the v3 will be better with all the improvements. If you do end up getting an Arrma there are me and a few other members on here are around to help, should you need any......as with all RC's there are little tweaks here and there that can be made to get the best out of it.
  20. FYI the V2's came with a few improvements over the v1, reinforced front knuckles, better ESC and motor (Hobbywing stuff) and beefier wing mount. I would spend a little bit more than its currently sitting, considering you could spend £390 for a new HPI Trophy Truggy Flux which is nowhere near as good.
  21. How about this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Arrma-Kraton-6S-BLX-New-unused-with-box-Mint/263512327967?hash=item3d5a8f071f:g:l-kAAOSwXJ9ajvxJ Looks like a V2 and never used.
  22. Yeah it looked like a broken front suspension hanger, It is a V1 with the earlier ESC and motor like what came in my Talion (although all removed now)......still, no bad deal providing thats all that was wrong with it... 2nd hand RC can be a minefield.
  23. I got a syncro with my Kyosho DBX VE 2.0 and it was rubbish. bought a cheap etronix tx and rx and never had any further problems.
