Hey mate I popped into the rcmd yesterday and they swapped the card for the official chunky blue one and I’m up and running! Messed with the settings and got rid of the bad cogging so I’m ready to run after 12 months out of action! Good times ?

Just ordered the Etronix Photon 2.1 program card from RC Model Shop Direct and they’ve sent me a Skyrc Toro program card ? Assumed it was compatible with my new Photon 2.1 60amp esc but just tried it and no joy. Just 1 light came up and that was it. Am I missing something or have they sent me the wrong one?

Think it was excessive strain running on long grass last summer. Lasted 5+ years so I would say a good innings

Has anyone any experience with running a photon 2.1 esc with a 2.0 motor? On my ftx vantage last summer the esc blew so I’ve replaced it with the photon 2.1 60amp esc but I’m getting bad cogging on it. I’ve re-soldered all connections so I’m sure it’s not “bad connection” related. I havent got the programming card for the 2.1 esc so that was my next option to see if tweaking the settings will sort it. With the “stock” 2.0 esc and motor it had before worked Ok with no cogging, so I’m new to this type of issue. Appreciate anyone’s advice and guidance ?

Any recommendations that would be a good replacement? Using 3s battery and brushless stock motor.

Hi all need some advice please. My ftx vantage brushless stopped moving yesterday whilst on grass and now will steer left right but not move at all. The on/off switch doesn't switch it off now either, as soon as the battery is connected the ecu fan starts running at full speed all the time and I'll attach a photo of the programming card which doesn't respond to any key presses but has this strange set of lights lit up ? It it has the stock ecu and motor and was running a 3s battery at the time. Car is about 5 years old and has never had any major probs previously.

Does anyone else have a 2wd issue with the Vantage? This hex screw doesnt hold anymore, even though i tighten it as tight as i can before every run. Any ideas to get it sorted?

Good point. I need to invest in a non elec screwdriver then I guess. I'm using allen keys atm and it's a pain in the a

Anyone recommend a good electric screwdriver to use on the vantage?

ta very much will get that ordered. Does anyone know of a wide bumper that will fit a vantage? Looking for some protection of the wheels.
