  1. Hi, Any interest in trades? I have an Axial Yeti built from the kit with loads of upgraded parts - plus cash your way of course.
  2. I think I am going to get it painted and mounted as is, then may look to doing something else later. Trying to not be overly ambitious as I don;t have the skill or time to go over the top and it'll just end up unfinished! Good luck with yours, put a thread on the crawler forum to show us what you come up with.
  3. Ha, snap. Not 100% where this is going yet. I'd lover to replicate something like this: But I am prone to having ambition greater than ability, so should really stick to something simpler in which case probably something like this:
  4. A hunk of Chinese plastic! Not bad for £30 minus a £10 eBay voucher so £20 including postage. Plan is to mount it up on my Vaterra Ascender; no idea how as yet, but we’ll see. And a couple of lipos and a hobbyking tx/rx to use with the Losi Mini t you can see under the table Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks, that's useful. If I can identify a few decent local places, it'll move me more towards getting a 1/8 scale truggy otherwise I'm not sure it'll get enough use.
  6. Has anyone had any experience speaking to motocross tracks about having some time on their track when not in use? I guess I’m struggling to find some decent local bashing / jumps etc, but there is a local mx track on my way home from work which looks pretty cool. So any tips / help / guidance on how to approach them? They have a Facebook page so can just drop a message, which may be best, any other experience or thoughts? Cheers, Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Great thanks for coming back to me. I'll take it at £80. I guess the receiver wouldn't bind to a Flysky TX? If not, I'll just pick up some form ebay, theyre only a few quid. I might try and find a cheap, small tx/rx combo so that the boy can use it more easily anyway. No worries on the connectors, always looking for excuses to get the soldering iron out for practice!
  8. According to parcel2go, postage is less than £10, so can do it in the price - £80 delivered. Would take me a few days to get it sent - finding a box etc.
  9. Hi All, had this for a few years, but never really got on with Nitro. It was really an impulse buy really as I had always wanted a nitro car when I was a kid but never got one and saw this on ebay! Anyway, it was running last time I tried, which was probably 1.5 years ago,. I've always had to apply some heat using a hairdryer to get it going first time and the tuning is probably terrible because I don't have a clue what I was doing! I've always used after run oil and filter oil. I've used the RX/TX and servo elsewhere, so although they are now included they aren't not installed. Basically what you see is what you get. I've not really done much with it, except replace some bearings, so it probably needs a spot of grease etc. Shell has one crack, but nothing major and only one clip left. The TX battery cover doesn't clip in, hence the elastic band, and the aerial attachment broke, but it all works as it should. Only thing not in the photo is the slow charger for the glow plug heater thing, but I've found that now. Sold as seen, I would say either for parts or for someone who fancies bringing it back to life. I'm sure it'll all work nicely with a bit of tlc. No idea on price so let's say £80 open to offers. Ideally collection from High Wycombe; can travel a bit to meet up if needed. Cheers, Mike
  10. Hi mate, interested in this for me & my boy to have a play with. Will it need a low voltage alarm? Do you have the original rx gear? I'd rather have it separate from mine so that we can run them together. I can probably work something out either way. Will it come with a battery? I'd need to order some smaller packs eventually, but would ideally wait till next month for that. Cheers, Mike
  11. How about £125? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Where are you based for collection? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I've sent you a PM, Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Hi, if it's not taken in the bundle, I'll have the servo. Mike Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Looks good; I'm going to be doing something similar to mine once we've finished building the extension and I get some time and space back! Will reread this thread closer to the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah, the KNK kit contained just the right number, very few spares. Although when I got mine the pound was better so price wise I think it was about the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I got the Team KNK hardware set. Very good quality and contained everything bar a couple of the bolts at the front. I imported it via ebay so wasn't the cheapest upgrade, but at the time I didn't have decent hex tools & I was seriously frustrated with the hardware included.
  18. If you split and they aren't needed by others above I'd be interested in the Bec, servo, winch and maybe the wheels, foams, tyres if not already taken. Mike. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. What are your first impressions of the Chinese wheels? I'm looking at replacing the wheels on my Yeti and will probably replace the Ascender's too. Not sure if I can stomach spending £100+ on each set. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I have a Hobbywing 3400kv & WP-SC8. Running on 3s, I've put a 14t pinion in it to bring it down a bit and try to get over some of the low speed juddering, seems to be working ok. Almost finished wiring up the lights now. Not the prettiest, but I'm happy for my first attempt! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Looking good, mines more a basher than anything else too. What foams were you looking to get? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Got most of the way though sorting some lighting on the Yeti, controlled through third channel via a turnigy receiver switch: Off: On: Needs a tidy then can finish fitting the new bellcrank kit. Also fitted a Flysky 3gtc tx/rx kit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks, the motor is beefy! Look what came today: Whoop! Promised myself I'd finish the stuff I want to get done in the yeti first, so soldering iron is warming up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Not quite as impressive a haul as others! but I got a few goodies today to fix my yeti and get ready for my Vaterra Ascender coming tomorrow. Tekin Fxr + 35t HD Flysky gt3c plus 2 extra receivers Turnigy Receiver switch (stripped and coated in conformal coating then heatshrinked so it looks odd) so that I can turn my new lights on and off Silicon conformal coating Boom Racing bellcrank for the Yeti All set to fix and rewire the yeti and get started in the Ascender build.
