  1. Not sure, I don't shoot video as a rule, specs say 4k at upto 60fps. Whether it's much cop or not no idea. Main sensor is 48mp but it's truly dire as implemented - supposedly there's a way to flash a better camera 'app' to it - I will check it out as despite wanting to use the main camera more there's obv times a quick snap is needed.
  2. Assume it's one of the xiomi / oppo etc handsets with the new Sony 108mp sensor? I've just changed from a huawei p20pro, fantastic camera, to a oneplus 8T - much better prcoessor, and on paper a better camera but the camera is (and I already knew to expect it) rubbish. Pixel count is all about viewing distance - I have professional photogs friends who have used a 10mp sensor to shoot images for billboards - myself I've printed a roughly 5ft wide image off a Sony a100 (10mp) and it hangs on my bedroom wall - probably my best shot ever.
  3. flickr is upto 200mb per photo. Free members can upload upto 1000 pics - paid members no limits but it's not cheap cheap.
  4. Unusual but at least it was easily sorted.
  5. On assumption that RX is getting power from the esc and thus powering the servo: Check motor to esc connection - 3 wires. Check throttle end points / dual rate not altered on Transmitter (TX, i'm not familiar with the radio gear). IF all good and no joy, make sure TX set as instruction book (epa etc) and try calibrating - ESC is a hobbywing rebrand from look - so should be (it should say in manual): wheels off ground, turn TX on. Turn esc on whilst holding set button. Motor should starting ringing (beep, beep etc and LED flashing RED) release set button with TX throttle in neutral position press set button - will beep once flash one green with TX in full throttle press set button - will beep twice, flash two green with TX in full reverse press set button - will beep X3. flash 3 green Let us know how you get on.
  6. Cover postage Bert and I'll send you a tatty but useable Hong Nor X1 CR shell - fits a H7 ok
  7. Last as in can't get anymore - though tbf this is the last CR Pro buggy that's been awaiting conversion - I do have some non Pro's though. Will consider it thanks
  8. Super, ping your paypal over please.
  9. Thanks - I'd offer £20 for one each front, rear and radio tray plus post (assuming they'll go as a large letter). C
  10. Look good! Can I ask what grade alloy used? weight compared to stock? what was it cut with? thanks

    SOLD

Ansmann Terrier 1/8 Nitro truggy - sort if a clone of the H7 PBS in truggy form and some H7 parts interchange. Original spares are available but not widespread, some bits worst than others, thus reflected in price. Brand new old stock (part of my collection). Boxed and complete as new (part disassembled to fit box). V light surface oxidisation of drive shafts and some screw heads just from storage (air has moisture). Wheels cling wrapped to keep tyres fresh (they're perfect). It's never seen turned a wheel. Drop an engine, servos in and go / convert to BL or use for parts - shell is UNCUT and will fit a ST for example. £115 NET. Post available on top of needed, collect or local meet up.
  13. Service due on the motor. 2 and a half years old, just over 20K miles and they tell me it needs spark plugs.  Seriously - last petrol car I owned had em changed every 60k miles with a gap check/ adjustment every service.  Madness

Service it yourself next time 🙂

They probably took your old spark plugs out and put it in the next car they said needed new spark plugs. Or maybe, didnt even change them at all.

I mean was in running rough at all? Anyway warning codes?

Nope, condition based servicing says inspection and oil change.  Service schedule says park plugs as part of every other oil change.  Live and learn, I keep saying now I work close by and don't have young children that I'll just buy beaters that I'll work on myself / scap when necessary... but then never do.  Maybe another year on this one then will see again.

Yeah I was thinking with such a new car you'd wanna retain the service history. Don't those newer three pots run a healthy amount of boost to compensate for lack of displacement?

My brother has one as an instructor car (not the BMW), it's a right hoot to drive can't tell it's a 1.0l the way it delivers such a torquey power band.

  14. Fitted my last aftermarket in-racing motor mount to a Hong Nor X1 CR Pro that's on the bench for conversion and refurbishment. Already run a similar buggy as my daily driver (or quarterly as seemed to be the case last year 😞 ) so not sure what'll happen with this. Mounted it opposite the option part Hong nor alu diff support.
  15. I asked about battery as if it's not upto providing enough amps (either duff or just low spec) then the initial draw getting moving (or moving in a high friction environment) would cause issues like cogging. I ask about motor size as there's a slew of motors around advertised as 540 sized but are actually 380 sized in a 540 outer can - you can tell the case in that the motor heat fins go into the can diameter. These motors are not in my experience upto the job. I've converted many brushed strada's and vantages/outlaws to brushless with similar electrics and never had an issue. I certainly have never needed to swap the spur either. 3000-4000kv 4 pole motor, that 540 sized or longer with a 60a esc and it should be fine. So I'd suggest you go back to stock gearing (for the BL factory version) and try to eliminate what's faulty or not 'good enough'. Hobbywing electrics are a perfectly good system. With my MOD hat on please keep this to a single thread - if you don't have one of your own make one and keep it in one place.
  16. Somethings amiss. Is it a proper 3650 motor? Not onw of the 380 sized motors in a 540 case? What battery source are you using?
  17. The reason it has a proprietary connection is to force people into paying over the odds for something that's otherwise pretty generic. Have you considered swapping the connector off the existing duff battery? Or if your using a second sourcing a duff battery to take the connector off? (all this is assuming it is a proprietary connector. Having re-read I see the connector is built into the battery - that being said it may still be possible to hack it out of a duff battery and make up a fly lead from it to an off the shelf battery. Also i'm sure with a little outlay you could rig a generic battery up with a charge socket like a cigarette lighter plug thingy - the orignal charger doesn't look anything more than a dumb trickle charger.
  18. Firstly - KV is ok for a lightweight 4WD 1:!0. What size motor are you using ? Secondly the fact it won't move on grass suggests there's something wrong - normally I'd suggest it's over geared for the motor. I wouldn't rule out something being at fault either.
  19. What size do you need? i've some lovely bnip LRP alu shocks that are upgrades for their Blast S10 truck (so all same length)
  20. Crazy money for something based around kyosho' budget 1/8 chassis. Nice shell though!
  21. Servos: If you don't need to run in the wet, these have served me well in 1/10: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/power-hd-lf13-metal-geared-servo/rc-car-products/388579 If wet running then the lw-20: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/power-hd-lw20-waterproof-high-torque-metal-gear-servo-blue/rc-car-products/404890 Shopping around can save a chunk, but there are believed to be knock offs around - you pays your money and takes the risk I guess. ESC: Budget non waterproof: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-quicrun-10bl60-sensored-bl-esc/rc-car-products/382832 Or the 120a version to cope with faster motors. Waterproof: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-quicrun-wp-10bl60-bl-esc/rc-car-products/382833 Again savings can be made, but with the same caveat above. You can pay much more... and a chunk less, I've just linked two brands that tend to be reliable at sensible costs. For racing the associated you'd def benefit from the 120a version of the first esc, and a slightly faster servo wouldn't hurt.
  22. May run 6s, with an appropriate KV motor, without issues. Personally I prefer running 4s and higher KV. Run times suffer but there's less torque issues than a 6s lower kv system - I find it more forgiving on the drivetrain, and getting lipos to fit is less problematic! Each to their own.
  23. Thanks Gaz, hoping on multiples to save postage., so not for me. Fwiw i see those fetching much more than £20...
