  1. Where do you source lipos these days?

Always used Hobbyking  as I don't need top of range stuff and had no issues with either service or products. Getting back in helis and need some 1300 to 1800 3S and at some point will replace my 2S. Hobbyking stock seems very limited at the moment

No mate... Put it in my Team Durango DEX210..... Goes like stink!!!!!

  7. Good to hear mixer has worked 👍 On my pistonbully, I found that if there's any trim adjustment on the steering , the tracks don't run at same speed and can be a bit erratic. Quick run forwards and backwards sorts itself. Having said that, could be cheap electrics and more 'toy' grade than your Trail King Look forward to hearing progress and seeing a run
  8. Good to hear your tinkering is making progress!! Something doesn't seem quite right though on the tracks.... On my Pistonbully, throttle both tracks run same speed but little steering input one slows down to turn the direction. Full steering input with no throttle applied tracks run opposite. Tail mixer will(should) sort it.. As always if I can help let me know pal 👍
  9. Tail mixers are a doddle pal! Swapped my Pistonbully electrics to twin ESC a tail mixer and works with my DX3 & flysky. Tail mixer has 2 sets of pins and 2 leads; plug each ESC into tail mixer and output leads into receiver, make sure throttle makes both tracks turn same way and done. If they go opposite, swap leads round as steering controls fwd/rev I don't think I had to alter anything on TX
  10. Same here!!!! I've re-jigged a couple of tracked vehicles... I used a V-tail mixer on twin ESCs to steer with DX3 👍
  11. Saw the news thread about the Sherpa last year and liked the look ......not sure about the clone 'Jeep' bodyshell (maybe rename it Cheep??) Due to current circumstances (work, life and Covid) my hobby like many I assume has been on the backburner, but I decided to pull the trigger on the Sherpa. I saw fair few videos which said the stock tyres weren't great so swapped to super swampers and a set of alloy beadlocks. Only other bits I have done are cosmetic.... Havent managed to get it on the trail yet but may have chance to give it a go in the garden if I get home in daylight More to come as time allows...
  12. Sadly not, work and duties taken all my time lately. Soon as I can take it out in daylight I'll at least take some snaps

  17. Thanks for the replies and advice Ive got a Spektrum DX7s from my heli days which sounds as though it'd be ok, if not mate has upgraded his TX and can have his Futaba 8J 🤞 Haven't ordered sound and light yet but will do next day or 2, along with few bits for detailing..... not even started build yet!!! I have picked paint up though!!
  18. Thanks pal! Bearings are on the way. I enjoyed my hi-lift build but dropped a right clanger doing the gearbox, didn't notice it until nearly finished so lesson learned What tx have you used on your trucks? How many channels really? Pretty sure I'm going for a light/sound unit too Thanks for the offer of help pal
